the rattling noises comes from where? dashboard? and from what u said, the elegance h line dashboard finishing is different, but i tried to google around, cant really find any relevant results tho.. which part is different?

nah, i dont do track racing.. my main concern is the body roll only. as currently im driving iswara, so the body roll is sooo bad.

how about maintenance wise?
*
Stay with stock suspension. Still got body roll but minimal. One of the best of its class for stock setup. Don't compare it with iswara, the suspension is totally different class. (I used to own iswara too).

Rattling, all cars also got, even Toyota Alphard cannot escape it. My H-line rattles on the driver side coin rack. Now steering (inside) pulak rattles due to tech open up b4.

The material difference between H-Line and other lines are not mentioned officially anywhere. You masuk sit in both cars, then you notice the drastic difference. Dashboard not sure (softer, etc....). Leather steering makes a very different feel for handling, increased sound insulation on side doors and roof (not mentioned in proton sites, NVH is definitely a notch better than other line). Leather material on side door instead of those mushy cloth in other lines. All these materials adds up to make a much higher grade feel vs other lines.

Also a MAJOR unmentioned (officially) difference between H-Line and others....the braking system that uses 1.6 gen2 brake pump that are MEANT for PE. Other line uses the cheaper 1.3 saga type pump that does not provide sufficient braking power thus if a PE guy complain abt its brake totally sucked, chances are they're not using H-line.

I think my wheel bearing jammed yesterday. Frequently the wheel will make grinding noise. Driving it very slowly now.

Does this mean that changing the brake pads wouldnt be enough to improve PE B-line braking?

hi guys.. i've been eyeing for proton persona age between year 10~12 full spec which the rear comes with the disc brake instead of drum. most probably persona SE or persona elegance full spec.

so wanna ask u guys, how is this persona? any pros and cons? quality wise? FC?

regarding the lotus ride and handling, if i change the the suspension to 3rd party manufacturer, does the ride and handling still applicable?

yeah, talking about the steering, i wonder if the buttons on the steering still usable if i change the HU to pioneer HU..

this is why i opt for hi-line.. the main reason is just because the rear disc.. i dont feel safe with drum.. but does hi-line really worth to get? cz most persona i've seen on the road r either b line or m line.. hardly see any h line persona tho.

well, how about the drive by wire delay? is like when u step on the pedal, slightly harder then only the car will move.. not sure u guys understand what im trying to say, but if u guys driven iswara b4, is like even u step on the pedal lightly, the car already start moving already.

haha.. i got what u mean.. the delay is there.. but i add liao firestorm ignition coil booster.. much better now for pickup... if u used to drive car like myvi.. not using drive by wire one.. surely our PE is quite delay.. u really have to press more in order to move the car.. haha

Test drive at Proton yourself. I'm not disturbed by the throttle lag, it's just the 7000-1100 RPM being insensitive, it's a jump instead of gradual rev.

drive by wire delay will be there regardless of how hard you press the pedal luh

but can fix Electronic throttle controller, will improve the problem, but will not totally eliminate it

firestorm, emanage kind of electronics and LCP, 421 extractor, stainless steel/fiber air filter kind of mechanical can mod to minimise the lag.

I just came back from test driving a manual persona and want to ask all sifu here a question.

Anyone have problems changing gears?

The storage box/component behind the gear (between the seats) blocks my hand whenever changing to 2nd/4th gear.

Really a turn off, I really wanted to get a persona. sad.gif

Is there a fix/solution to this?
