My Barb's current glove and a loot I've just got. which 1 is better?

My Noob Barb

So my question is:

1. Is SOJ recommended for my barb? Coz usually he can cut normal mobs like vege but need a bit time to bring down elites.

2. But if I put on a SOJ my dps will drop like 20K~35K. Is it worth to exchange 30% of extra damage to elite for so much dps?

3. I'm thinking of boosting my dps to 300K, what gear should I change? (I don't wan Inna pants as it will greatly reduce my EHP and DEF)

4. how much more def I can sacrifice to bosst my dps? I've trying to buy a amulet which can boost my dps to 286K something and + my hp to 56k but -0.7% def. is it ok?

5. I've tried to play my barb with rend/HOTA build. But I've used to play my own build too much, so which skill I can change to HOTA?

That's really something new. I'll give it a shot then, With my current build I can survive pretty well myself but the problem is my teammate. That's why I think I need to bring down the elites faster. Mempo with 5.0%CC above usually get instant topped at AH, got 2B also cant get. So I'm still waiting until I get my luck to bid 1.

Skorn with 1400+ DPS and maintaining high CD and LS is really hard to find. There'll be some balancing on the stats, usually if the DPS is high then the CD will be very low. I've seen skorn with 1400+ DPS usually will have like only 150~170% CD. My Skorn can be say as the best available at GAH till now. Haven't seen a better 1, if want higher then I think need go for RMAH but Asia server does not have RMAH. I've seen prefect Mempo at RMAH in US server before, all the attributes are at max.

Checked just now, Skorn with 190%+ CD 1400DPS and 5.70LS can considered as trophy item already. and none of them with STR roll...... Nvm, coz I think my Skorn is good enough for the moment. who knows later I'll change my mind and go for dual wield barb later.

Thanks for all the advice. I'm still trying to adept for HOTA build and I like it pretty much. Just the difference is I'll need to run sometimes if got too crowded. With former build I can withstand tons of normal mobs but longer time to kill elite. Now I can kill elite fast but when comes to tons of mobs, I'll need to retreat depends on situation. As for the SOJ thingy, I'll think about it later. No SOJ doesn't mean you can't kill elites. Actually I don't like skills such as barbs WW and TR for monks, I dunno how the US players play but right here at Asia I hate these kind of barbs. They just spin around and I don't see they deal large amount of damages. Anyway, there ain't no prefect build. If you wan to withstand tons of mobs you'll need longer time to bring down elites and I you wanna kill elite fast, you'll have problems with crowded mobs......

Okay, since you say cold SOJ is not a necessary for me, so is this good enough?

Guys, that Lut socks and Might of the earth set is class specific? Do I have a chance to see it drop or from Kadala when playing other classes?

Okay, See if I got luck with Kadala for the boots as I'm gambling for a better Akkhan boots for my crusader as well.

Dear Sifu-Sifu sekalian, please advice me is it worth for me to use that Ramaladni or whatsoever to make socket on this furnace or should I toss it.

That wing is from buying starcraft 2 heart of the swarm CE, and the doggie is from RoS CE.

Edit: Wow that hammer really shines when it comes on killing elites and champions.

Now another question: How does the legendary gem works? I just get 1 piece for each, after socketed can still upgrade or remove it??
