Not sure how much. But heard that it is better to choose the monthly tablets form rather than yearly vaccination.

Easier ? It's easier to give them tablets monthly, that's why ppl take tablets. Depends lah on you.

Well maybe you can ask for other vets about the price and methods so that you can compare.

Heartguard tablets cost around 50--70 depending on shops for a 6 months supply. so if it's injection, multiply it by 2 then you get the charges for the injection ~ 120.

white castle, you're a home breeder, dont tell me ya dont know about this doh.gif

Last week I juz brought a "Heartgard" for my QQ is cost RM65. Previously she took another brand... forgot the name but it is recommend by the vet n they said tis is better than the "Heartgard" is cover more "worm" o virus.. so the cost is higher than "Heartgard" if i not mistake it is RM90+.. of course it last for 6 months..

If u let ur baby to take tablet monthly u oso need to check 1st b4 let it take.. so the cost of tablet n injection juz slightly different only.. it depend on u the owner.. if u afraid u wil forget to give then every month then yearly is recommended lo..

But I stil more prefer monthly tablet.. icon_rolleyes.gif

There is a new heartworm medicine for sale in the market already. Small dogs below 11kg only RM30 to Rm40 lah. Can last 6 months since it is 6 tablets and 1 tablet one month. I am not using HeartGuard, I'm using Heartz, a good brand also.

Heart worm medication contains same active medicine inside to prevent heartworms, hookworms, roundworms and something else. Just the brand and where it is made makes it expensive.

6 months is a good age to start heartworm prevention.
