Actually, a dog's intelligence has nothing to do with it's breed. My family ( including my two brothers' dogs ) have 7 dogs. Three shih-tzus, two Goldens, one St.Bernard and one Rottweiler mix.

The Rottweiler mix is the most intelligent and the dumbest and most stubborn is the male Golden. If I scold him for chewing shoes ( he's 2 yrs old already ), the Golden will go sit and face a wall the whole day. Call him also won't listen. Aii...

It's the dog's personality that's most important. You can own the most expensive dog ever but if it's just plain stubborn and dumb, there's nothing much you can do about it.

But whatever it is, I still love those furry buggers. ^^ Love 'em love 'em love 'em!

QUOTE(aragorn2976 @ Feb 2 2007, 05:36 PM)
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.

There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.

There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

(T_T) This just brought tears to my eyes. I... lost my first pet dog almost 10 years ago, and it still hurts me now, everytime I think of her. I miss my dog...

Allo guys, can you guys tell me if there's any shop in SS2 or nearby that sells Royal Canin? The vet wanted my brother to change his dog's diet to Royal Canin Skin Sensitive coz the dog's been having some skin problem.

Today at UPM vet, we met with another guy with a really handsome looking Labrador and he said his dog used to have skin problem but ok liao now since he switched the dog's diet to California Natural.

We've just bought Science Plan yesterday so we're thinking of switching to California Natural for my dogs next month after they finish Science Plan because my Golden's fur has been getting a bit dry these few weeks.

My brother will be getting Royal Canin and we would be getting California Natural - see how it works out for our dogs. Can you guys please tell me where I can get Royal Canin and what's the biggest bag that they have? My brother's dogs sapu 15kg Science Plan every month.

CN is good.... it has natural ingredients and no salt added. My dog is also sensitive to dogfood, always shed alot even if on Eagle Pack or Innova.... Nutro made her worst. CN brought back her glossy coat and full fur. So you will like CN. My boxer and lab also using CN.

Not everyshop sells RC for dogs.... I see more for cats... I know Pet Family has for cats but I can't recall bout dogs lah. Pet Safari carries RC for dogs.

Thanks for reassuring me. Since I've only heard about CN after I bought the new Science Plan bag, I'll wait till after they finish it before getting CN. laugh.gif My Rottie mix's fur is glossy but have a bit of slightly bald patches near her waist area from scratching. Hope everything goes well after changing to CN.

My dogs only respond effectively to treats.. lol... i think he is spoilt...
Without treat, he ll be reluctant..

LOL, same goes for my Golden and Rottie mix when I first teach them new tricks. After they've learned it, I'll make it clear to them that they won't always get a treat for doing the tricks. So sometimes when they roll over and play dead when I aim my 'gun' and bang bang at them, I'd give them treats when they least expect it.

Aiks, my Rotti-mix scared my cousin away last week when he visited us. It was my cousin's first meeting with my dogs and he laugh it off when we told him that our dogs are very protective over our family.

My Abby (Rotti-mix) is very friendly with people and other dogs so my cousin said she don't look agressive. Then later when my dog's distracted, he walked over to my chair and whacked my head with his hand.

laugh.gif You should've seen his facial expression when my Abby jumped up from the floor and run over to my side. She jumped onto the chair and block me with her body and growled at my cousin.

This is what I call, "mou pak pak sek" (in cantonese). Pity those people who don't have a dog to love. tongue.gif
