Well "occasional walk" walk with a bulldog might help to maintain a person's size as good as a bulldog.  tongue.gif

EDIT: Almost forgot.. he is one of those vet who is more onto door step service.. Btw, how much do u need to pay if u bring ur pet to the vet instead? quite a long time i never bring my dog to the vet clinic already... so i dun remember the fees...

Hello, i ve got a obedience problem here as well, my dog doesnt like push over, he is kinda old now.. bout 9 years old this year. He growls at me when i try to reach for his paw from the side to apply medications.. Sometimes when he refuses to go into his pen, he growls at me as well..

Its a Dal by the way, i know they tend to have short attention span and are independent thinker.. So any of those who is experienced in dog training please help.. Thank You.

I m thinking of switching to blackwood.. i saw one of the ingredient has Corn products, which is one of the ingredient believed to cause allergies to Dals.. So i m having second thoughts...

How much is Orijen here? Any good holistic brand to recommend?

I would much recommend innova evo or orijen. But their price is quite high. If you dont mind spending for your dogs, try this two brand. My babies are currently eating Innova Evo.
*
hmm, took a look at evo and orijen's ingredient, i think i prefer less ingredient coz Dal's liver are sensitive, so i think orijen or california natural might not be a bad choice... But only thing is price.. tongue.gif

QUOTE(White Palace @ Apr 28 2007, 04:59 AM)
If need orijen, no worry i can get discount, need any help can PM me. smile.gif

Thanx yang.. do pm me the price of orijen..

Setapak no California Natural.... but Setapak got Orijen!!! hahahah.... weird... you staying at Setapak? Do you know where is Taman Melawati?

CN I get from PJ.

Just a reminder.... all holistic foods have their own qualities. If your dog has a weight problem like over weight or obese, or got heart disease or skin problems or sensitive skin and digestive system, go for California Natural. CN can control shedding and weight for senior dogs.

NutriEdge causes dogs to become fat and have shiny fur.

Personally, I have tried many brands of Holistic dog food. So I can tell which would give you benefits to your dogs.... but right now I'm in the middle of trying Orijen to see how well it preserves coat and structure.

Innova Evo is alright but it will cause certain dogs to shed more than usual.
*
yeah i live in setapak garden near the police station opposite shell/Ganda cafe.. So how do u find Orijen is doing? I find it a problem to go to PJ coz i seldom pass by that area, if last minute need to find dog food then i ll be in trouble.. haha..
I know tmn melawati.. issit pet care? I ussually go to setapak pet shop.. the boss is really nice.. they ship the food to my doorstep... its been sevral years like this..
I dun think i ll take nutriedge.. my dog is fat enough... tongue.gif

Ohh... Setapak Garden... I'm at Taman Ibu Kota, near by only.

Well, you know where is Sakura Crystal? It's around that side.... The petshop is near a bank.... I can't remember what bank but next to it is a mamak restaurant and a mechanic shop.... The name of the shop is Pet Epicure... You can call them03-41070125 for better directions.

If your dog got a sensitive liver, CN or Orijen would be better but you may need to check with a vet to see if a high protein diet is ok or not since Orijen is 70% protein.
*
Really??? I am staying in tmn danau kota... haha..
I just came back from setapak pet shop... went there to get some stuff to fight off ticks.. they carry black wood and recently avoderm... but no orijen or CN... so i was thinking of maybe trying avoderm.. is it good?

Wat does pet epicure caries? I know that area.. went there few times to get bakery stuff.. lame.. i know.. lol..

Yeap, the one next to pizza hut.. or the pharmacy there..
haha... yeah now they only have the sample size.. i was told that i can get the big packs if i ordered in advance.. coz they are not sure hows the market for it since it is just being sold there recently.. maybe i ll try the avoderm next round..

Thinking of changing collars for my dog as well... I m using choke collar, heard that body halter is a good option...

My dog abit rebellious.. haha.. so i thought body halter or prong shud do a good job.. i ussually dun put collar on him in the house.. give them more comfort.. I read that head halter might cause damage if the dog suddenly lunge and twisted the neck.. but it is one good correction device.. same goes for prong collar..

A head halter is better at training... so far my dad used that on my bigger dogs. My ckcs I use harness. We only have collars on our outdoor dogs since DBKL can see them with license.

Body halter is bad for training.... some dogs won't even stop pulling.... so the best is the head halter.

I saw one head halter at pet safari.. it was like rm 57 shocking.gif so shocked... that time i was thinking to get it.. but dunno how effective... so i changed my mind..

Junnie87 - aaa.. those fleas and ticks are driving me crazy.. everytime i touch my dog.. i have to bath, coz whole body got itchy.. the latest item i get was this fleas and ticks medicine.. something simmillar to bayticol, but was something like a wholesale item which only petshop uses.. they sell me a small bottle of it... Hope it works..

Mountainbiker: Hmm, how would u be sure its royal canin? I could say wat ever brand i wanted for all i care, but i could just pack in some pedigree kibbles or anything cheap i want, yet u wont find out about it..

So final say is to get one with proper packaging, hey u may be losing out on a few bucks.. but wat is few bucks compared to ur future vet bills and conned-out 10 - 20 bucks low cost food?
