Why do the arrow keys look flat/sunk into the board? how to press like that?

Looks like just the top cover is Metal
Bottom is still plastic.

Agree, the black part it look more like shadow than a plastic cover the hold.

In short, what I want to mean is that for normal switch, it is like a semi cylinder shape with one of the side not covered.

For default led mounted switches, it is like a full cylinder, which is the triangular black shadow you saw under the led.

Cherry been making so many switches and now they need to create another mold just for LEDs without proper markings?
Unless you can show clearer pictures, i am not buying your argument.

Take a look at their switches variant, some of them are specially to have led by default.

May be you should order some switch that come default with led to verify it yourself. I can only update with mah own drill after my holiday ends at September.
