Was reading this with excitement on the rm80 cashback, but found out that it is gone..

yeah, last successful try was on 1/2 before 7pm although by right it should have expired by 31/1.

but the difference using this mastercard link was that it requires you to use mastercard only and they will charge the amount to your mastercard before they can give you the rm80 cash rebate.

Just wanna share this info. As I am working nearby One Utama, I dine and shop there often during lunch. Whenever they have promotion of purchasing One Utama gift card worth RM50 to get additional RM5, I find that it is worth it to convert Maybank treat points ("tp") to purchase this gift card. This is because you only need 420 tp to purchase RM1 value in One Card, hence to purchase RM50 gift card, you need 21,000 tp (which is equivalent to RM4,200 spending based on 5x tp for Maybank Amex). At the end of the day, you spend RM4,200 and get RM55, which is equivalent to 1.31% cash back. However, if you convert your tp at the usual normal Maybank conversion of 400tp to RM1, the cash back is only 1.25%.

In addition, I asked the cs to convert the gift card value into my One Card so that it follows the expiry of my One Card (which is being renewed for free annually), hence I will never reach the expiry date.

Have a Bcard but seem like the participating outlets is not as many as Bonuslink.

Just to share some tips (or bug) if you wanna call it from the cashback websites in regards to Agoda.

1. To get cashback + Maybank 7% discount
a) Click on Agoda link on Shopback / Milkadeal as usual and you'll be prompted to the Agoda main page
b) What you do now is to paste the agoda.com/maybank link onto the page that was just opened from Shopback
c) Viola you now get the 5 / 7% discount and so far, I've received the cash back in my account, fingers crossed it gets approved by Agoda!

2. For whoever who has the cashback buddy from Shopback installed, if you go to agoda.com/maybank for example, the prompt for cashback will become active so you should still get cashback on top of the CC discount, haven't try this method though

Correct, the shopback / milkadeal will be replaced by the Agoda Maybank page but so far they're still able to track my purchase which was a surprise. I just tried it as I didn't care if it worked (as the 7% discount I got was more than RM40 anyway).

Hello. I have a q. Agoda has an option to "book now and pay later". If I choose that, for example if I make my booking today, my credit card will be charged on 19th April. If I do that, (assuming I enter via shopback), the cashback will be credited after 19th April, correct?

Sorry noob question. I accidentally chose that option. Felt like cancelling the booking and rebook (and pay straight away)

no matter which option you choose, it will still be after 19/4 for the cashback.

yes, because they need to make sure you stay there and no cancellation before they could award you with the cashback.
