QUOTE(bLu3zZz @ Jun 12 2014, 02:50 PM) I'm a proud graduate of Software Engineering in APU. APU has a good track record in its Computing and IT courses. Their syllabus, so far, is the most complete ones after I have seen other universities. If you are looking for the quality instead of the environment, APU will be the right place. Well, I agree with you that APU has a SOLID record for all their computing and IT courses. They also produce extremely versatile and competent graduates from my experience. However, your marketing talk should end there. While I have no doubts that their syllabus is sound, to state that they are the most complete based on your experience is just a lot of crap. Who are you to judge other Universities structure? And how many universities have you seen? Sigh. I kinda dislike these embedded marketing moles.

QUOTE(Jacqueline133 @ Jan 29 2016, 03:58 PM) Hi everyone, I would like to ask whether APU is a good choice in studying Actuarial Science? Please reply soon. Thank you. As compared to? If you are comparing with Sunway or Heriot-Watt, then the answer is a resounding NO! Then is based on my understanding on the emphasis and teaching staff of that university. unless things has drastically changed over the past few months. UTAR is also quite good in Actuarial Science.

QUOTE(Jacqueline133 @ Jan 30 2016, 03:37 PM) But I already had a certificate in Foundation in Management so it might be difficult for me to apply in UTAR. I had look through Sunway also but their MUET requirement must be at least Band 4 and I got Band 3. How about UCSI? Any more suggestions? Wait - what? Why would it be difficult to apply to UTAR with that foundation? Generally, they will accept most foundation programmes with a 2.0 CGPA unless stated explicitly. In regards to MUET - my advice is to just try to apply first and see what the counsellors say. They may even waive that requirements if it is a Sunway entry Req. and not an official Approval Letter Req. try these two options first and once you know that it is not a viable option, then seek for the alternatives. Between UCSI and APU - I would think APU is a better option.

QUOTE(myshinyannulus @ Aug 14 2020, 07:30 PM) Hi everyone! Are graduates of the IMU Foundation in Science course able to enrol in Computer Science degrees in APU? Should not be a problem as long as your either have a credit in Add maths at SPM or have Add maths level subjects in your foundation (which you probably would have).

QUOTE(nftasha@gmail.com @ Feb 14 2020, 04:30 PM) May I know if there are any former students or current students of APU to give review of their IT course. I am considering to send my son to study there but want to know if the lecturers are good or not. Thank you. Usually i would advise people to make a new post asking the question you asked. Posting in the APU thread wont get you the necessary response. Usually, there is an unspoken rule that we don't say negative things or give bad review within the university's main thread.
