Had an opportunity to snap pictures in Penang Floral Fest. Shot with Canon 100D. C&C are welcome.

Am using manual focus in all photos.
Will get better focus in next attempt.

Auto focus mode did not focus on what I really want, in most of the situations. So, I gave up.
I will only switch to auto focus if I can't get the focus at all. But then will switch it back to manual focus once I got somewhere there.

Maybe you are capturing too near to the subject, hence shorter than the minimum focus distance of the lens which is why the autofocus couldn't work. While using manual is an option, you can't get a sharp focus due to the min. focus distance.

Try standing a bit back, and cropped the image afterwards to achieve better composition.

you too near to the subject already, if you want closeup the flower use raynox or macro lens will be better.

maybe u shooting closer to ur camera minimal focal distance, that's why auto focus unable to focus.

mind ur compo also, like #9, the flower pot at right side, and #10, paper at bottom, that may distract ur picture

agree, your frame your photo is too tight, dun have any empty space. give some empty space will be better.

Is not that my auto focus not work... It does work, just that it focuses on something else instead of on what I really want.

i feel that a bit distracting
before you say crop out, I have a question, why you wan to include that thing in ur picture? purposely or unintentional?
