i think there is already an app called Maybank2E on bbworld. haven't tried it though. but if it works well don't think there's a need to sideload android ver.

so far I have successfully sideloaded

- instagram 4.0.1
- spotify (latest version, but uninstalled because didn't like the lagginess)
- drums droid realistic hd 4.0.8
- ubersocial pro 2.5

lol, i actually sideloaded 4.0.2 not long after my last post

4.0.1 and 4.0.2 will play instagram videos just fine, but no recording function because that one requires Jelly Bean.

To me 4.0.2 seems a bit smoother (or lighter?) than 4.0.1

I'm just using the standard Android apk downloaded from apk4.net. Converted using xsacha method.

If you don't mind paying full price for no-contract Q10, I think many mobile phone shops still have them. You could also check with some reliable online traders too.

But BB is slowing down phone production this month too. That could be one of the reasons.

I'm on Instagram 4.1.2 now.

I don't download pre-made bar files.

I download APKs from Google Play, then convert the BAR myself using the debug token method.
Unfortunately with this method, the BAR file generated is tied to the phone and cannot be shared to others.

But with this method, there is like 95% success rate as long as the app is for Android 2.3.3 or earlier.

Contacts back on BBM list already?

There should no need to re-invite people because BBM list is tied to Blackberry ID. So whenever you wipe or change phones, BBM contacts will be re-loaded when you connect BB ID to your device.
