guys..
i have a problem with my Q10.
been using it for a month or so.

my Q10 will auto restart whenever there is a bump on the phone.
eg: 1. when i drop my phone on my work desk when i am seated.
      2. the phone bumps against any object while i am holding it.

this doesnt seem normal.
however, i would wanna double confirm with you guys here, see if any of you experienced this.
*
I'm afraid it's hardware problem, if you're lucky could be only battery contact problem, but it could be worse, better send for warranty claim. Good luck.

i think there is already an app called Maybank2E on bbworld. haven't tried it though. but if it works well don't think there's a need to sideload android ver.

I updated mine last night. Main difference I notice is the separate what's app notification in peek rather than it being in the bell notification part.
*
It means that particular app is now supported with hub, there are some app that is not supported, will be still shown in notification tab (bell icon)

lol, i actually sideloaded 4.0.2 not long after my last post  biggrin.gif

4.0.1 and 4.0.2 will play instagram videos just fine, but no recording function because that one requires Jelly Bean.

To me 4.0.2 seems a bit smoother (or lighter?) than 4.0.1
*
Can you share where did you get it? I just sideloaded 4.0.2 but it won't run, it says my device did not meet the minimum camera requirement :S

Back then it was possible on Playbook, I can't recall what's the name, but in one OS version, RIM patched it and can't do that anymore.

Hmm? On older versions of bb can download direct from bb world. Hope more apps become available..

Anyone noticed any difference in the push mail compared with bis-enabled bb? Slower take more data?
*
Not like that, it was because Google took out their support from Blackberry and iOS last time. You can google it and might find the article about it.

what were the best bits of the 10.2 for you? damn BlackBerry, tempting me away from my Android  drool.gif

It depends you want to look at it from which perspective. But let me start from this, I've been using Blackberry for many years now, still keeping all of the previous models I've used, the last one before I jumped to this Q10 was 9900 which I think was the ultimate of the Blackberry which I fully utilized it till it became like the extension of my hands and brain. All the shortcut button from home features, the shortcut button in different apps/task windows that is open, the menu properties (the same logic as like what you expected with right click on your PC), integration between apps etc, making it just perfect for me.

And then I made the jump to BB10 after decided to skip Z10 (I can't live without BB physical keyboard), the Q10, even tho it was probably more than 1 month after the Z10 launched (can't recall) I have to admit the BB10 was too new and immature. At first I thought it was only an adjusting moment for me, usually takes 1 week to adapt to different system, but I started to find one by one which are something that does not make sense, even after 1 month+ I updated to the latest OS version back then, it still did not solve those problems.

One example, if you guys reading this and still using the old 10.1 OS try to go to the media and choose one picture, try to rename it or go to the properties to see the details of the picture, no you can't. Don't really remember what was my version of 10.1, but I did not update to the recent 10.1 version when they had a lot of problems such as cannot making phone calls and such, so not really sure when exactly they fixed it. But they did it at this 10.2 I'm running it currently.

Getting back to your question, first of all, it fixes many "non sense" problem, nothing special in this sense, but it should run like this. Loving the new pop up notifications, which can bring you quickly to the message or event to respond, and get back to what you were doing quickly once you're done. Also applying the smart share prediction/suggestion, like in android it will automatically sort the last app we chose to share, but in here it get more details, like if it is whatsapp, it will also show in the option of that particular contact that we often share the contents. The new smart Priority Hub, making the Hub even better especially if you have many things registered in the Hub. New dark theme settings page(LOL). I really did not want to comment about it being snappier, because it's just new, but yeahhh, it is way much snappier thumbup.gif

I urge everyone to install this leak 10.2.0.1761, couple days back there was another newer leak 10.2 I haven't tested, so I will still suggest one that I've tried. Just get it from Blackberryos.com, its an easy process to install, remember to back up your data first using Blackberry Link, and enjoy your once again new Blackberry Q10 cool2.gif

*
Read the article till finish bro, I also just read that and stop myself from installing, it will temporary will work on data only, no phone calls or text msgs. I will wait for the full function leak after this version.

Anyone tried the leak 10.2.1?
*
I have it installed, the 10.2.1.155 it's just wow, I'm loving every changes they made, even till a small thing like the built in flashlight (lol). But I noticed they taken back the search feature in Remember that they had in leak 10.2.0.xxx that I previously had.

Did try to install the .apk on the fly too, works flawlessly, tried Instagram and Path. It's so promising, so we wait now for the next official release biggrin.gif

Hi guys.. New owner for bb Q10.. I was wondering.. is BB10 have Hybrid or somesort? if not.. How to upgrade the OS? Is it manual like the legacy OS? Apploader or is it OTA?

Ive been using legacy devices for a while now.. Upgrading to OS10 feels weird.. Need to do homework. Haha.
*
I used hybrid most of the time prior to BB10, but for now I suggest just to use the leak that has been tested by many users, here is the current one, its pretty easy to process

bro, after dl from mega, how to install it?

im using q10
*
IINM it's in .rar file, you just need to unrar and it will be a single .exe file, so simple just run it, and follow instruction, and remember to back up separately with BB Link, and also make sure you have enough battery. Good luck

can use with windows base, mac os can?
*
I think you have to use windows just like other .exe apps, run boot camp maybe or borrow someone else laptop/pc for a while, it won't take long, really very quick process.

Hi Hakim,

May I ask have you encounter rebooting after a shock or soft bump setting on hard surfaces? In CB there is a thread dedicated to this hardware problem.
*
May I know why you asked this question? Happened to your Q10?

No, I will get one sooner or later.

The reason I ask simply because it is am existing problem if you browse through CB Forum. Just to be sure before I make up my decision. What about your Q10?
*
I see. I don't know man, I'm just not willing to knock it down just to prove it
