PAL is one of the 3 region encoding for Xbox360 games and consoles
others are NTSC/J & NTSC/US
PAL is mainly for UK/Europe and Australia/NZ
Whereas NTSC/US is for North America region
NTSC/J is for Japan & Asia region
The console are region locked to their specific region, but for games some are full/partial region free.
