The photos are ok for casual shots, just the usual noise from a phone camera. I do like the natural bokeh/background blur from the aperture.
I did. Far above this page there is one photo, one of my 3 entries. No idea if it's creative enough or not. I just submitted last Friday so i think it will only appear in GSC's site this Friday.  hmm.gif
*
Actually its not frm a camera phone. Lol just lazy to set up the camera stand, its hand shot so the noise abit high. Its just casual shot to show off her cuteness haha, no special background or anythg else.

Oh thrs gsc contest, i bet thr'll be alot entry frm around the world. Cant wait to c all their work.

after a tonne of Asuna failures, finally they are making Leafa
but that pose... meh

Yeah its a let down cause most of the asuna really not tat impressive, most of their faces r way off, for me at least... except for the figma which i think is ok. Is it so hard to sculpt her face lol...

This figure is ok except for her pose, her face is beter than of asuna

I see. Hand or tripod has ntg to do with noise  sweat.gif Either ISO too high, flash wasnt used (you shouldnt use it anyway for figure photography) or lighting is inadequate.

On the contest, the work has started being published, on every friday.
I wish my entries made it through to be published; on the take photo of your pseudonym with your figure to prove the authenticity of your work, i kinda didnt follow the example, but my name and the figure is in the verification photo. The name isnt clear enough (but picture is high res), and my face is also inside the photo.  sweat.gif  sweat.gif  sweat.gif

No, i know using hand wif lower iso will increase blur if u dont have steady hand. =.="

Blur and noise are different lol Noise is the small dots u see all over a photo without zooming in much.
*
increase iso because u have a shaky hand or low light to decrease the chance of bluring cause by slight movement. people tat wan to take pictures wif lower iso [lets say 100iso - super clear pic wif almost no noise] will use tripod/stand.

i think she's a pretty too & its frm alphamax thumbup.gif

QUOTE(EXkurogane @ Jul 22 2013, 05:43 PM)
Alpha Max is not all that bad - still better than Griffon but not as much as Kotobukiya. Probably my expectations are a lot higher than many people. I had their Touwa Erio for only a few weeks but sold her. Only their Skytube series figures, especially Fault, are of more exceptional quality than those main stream figures priced at 6800-7800yen.

And, no Asuna figures are nice enough to me so far, Koto's version is the best one available so far though.
*
for me i think alphamax better than koto, koto quality abit 'unstable'...
i heard that the koto version got qc problem & i do like this alphamax face more than the koto face biggrin.gif

QUOTE(Flame Haze @ Jul 22 2013, 06:16 PM)
This looks ragged. Just my 2 cents.

this's sexy =P brows.gif

QUOTE(KajumaO2 @ Jul 22 2013, 06:22 PM)
Asuna just too over rated
*
yea i think asuna over rated 2 but im in this not because of asuna but the sculpt fascinate me smile.gif

QUOTE(Flame Haze @ Jul 22 2013, 07:43 PM)

Come on, even silicon implants look better than that =.=;

Meanwhile, this Griffon figure looks fantastic. I guess it is all about the sculptor at work, and what price point they are aiming for. Griffon has good sculptors but choose to produce shitlike products for mainstream anime character figures.

1. where did you get those LED strips?
2. how do you power them?

I'm guessing there's 2 ways:

the expensive way, Ikea
the cheap way, Jalan Pasar whistling.gif
*
@General_Nic
hehe, yeap im gonna say tat but yeah u said it
ikea 1 is abit expensive & i think the measurement is fix
ps : aiyo dont say jln pasar la, its pain in the ear lol

@goldfries

yeah mine is actually frm jln pasar as @General_Nic said XD
joking joking... mine is custom made frm a led & lightening shop at gm klang, they got lots of leds & light for car & oso for shop display. mine is custom made, i give them the measurements i want & they will cut it for me, including some request like shorter or longer wiring. it is powered using a power adapter which they r also selling, the amp needed various on different led stripe measurements.

user posted image

as u can see here the length is ngam ngam the length of my display rack, & i've requested a turn like this & join together using a very short wire. they'll do all the cutting for u

user posted image

using those reusable adhesive to hold my wire, clean & safe to use.

user posted image

here's the adapter. im using 2 as my rack got 2 section seperated by a wooden base

user posted image

here's night view, hope this'll help u smile.gif
