We know Apple deliberately underclocked the chip to 310MHz/278MHz in order to save battery, reduce noise and heat... I'm thinking to bring the speed back to 475MHz/470MHz but kind of afraid the thing's gonna burn, 'cuz it's already running pretty darn hot right now.

Any of you MacBook Pro owners done it?

Use Core/Memory editor like ATIccelerator & Graphiccelerator. Do it at ur own risk.

I used ATI Tools and brought the speed up to 430MHz/400MHz, seems to be alright so far. It gets a bit loud when the fan kicks in but still acceptable nonetheless. Oblivion runs a lot smoother at native resolution now! biggrin.gif

try not to stress the card too much. anyway, you're not pressing it limit at 500/500 so i think it's still ok. keep it cool. air-cond or fan wink.gif
