QUOTE(Seng_Kiat @ Jun 16 2013, 12:26 AM) should be in the region of RM2.5k +-... like lil says.. call bikepro to ask them the rough pricing... the other option is KH cycle....QUOTE(yoonyin @ Jun 16 2013, 12:58 AM) Hi, i a new in road bike. I was looking for some entry bikes in JB. Currently looking at 2013 Polygon helios c3.0 & c4.0. Not sure what it cost.. the C4.0 would be a better option... most likely to be close to or even cheaper than the race lite 903 depending on your location... not sure about JB pricing...And also a shop owner intro me the Merida lite 903 (2013) @ rm3k , included water bottle&cage, basic pedal and bike stand. Is that a good deal? Appreciate all the pro feedback the 903 @ RM3k is about there.. KL goes for about RM3.1k... bottle cage and the cheap pedals are standard stuff... and the bike stand is only RM35 at most... the difference is that the c series polygon is an endurance bike where the frame is made to let you have a more comfortable position where you sit more upright and a tad more relaxed while the race lite 903 is of the racier geometry where you are a bit more low down on the front end...depends if you have the flexibility but the differences are not to say very huge looking at the geometry... both is good and cheap reliable options...if the price is the same, go with whichever bike shop you feel that you can easily connect with since you will go back to them for tune ups repair and what's not... QUOTE(joyformidable @ Jun 16 2013, 07:45 AM) i got the helios c 3.0 , imho the 9 gear sora is kinda bad for climbing since the ratio is kinda off and it's hard to maintain a good cadence on steeper climbs since it's kinda heavy that a kick in the nads... you have not much options but to upgrade to 10-speed since you are already on compact...the last resort is to butcher on MTB parts and you can run up to 34tooth cassette on the rear...i've seen it work before on touring setups... QUOTE(lilredridinghood @ Jun 16 2013, 11:09 AM) we've got a boon foo fan here... jus kiddin |

QUOTE(rjb123 @ Jun 16 2013, 06:28 PM) This also from 1-2 per week on weekend evenings .. Weekdays for me, weights and stationary spinning bikes for convenience. Wednesday I run to maintain my pace in case I decide to go dualathlon in near future. HahaBefore I got more enthusiastic and was also cycling during the weekday afternoons before work - too damn hot Evening cycling can be a biatch around my area due to strong headwind too so no cycling hehe |

QUOTE(rjb123 @ Jun 16 2013, 02:17 PM) mileage does not count sometimes... it might be better if you ride hard for 30minutes than ride leisurely whistling at chicks for 2 hours...but, sometimes.. a mix up is required both for physically and psychologically...so that we dun all end up with a room full of tenga's |

Winter is here !! I miss the sun and having good weather when riding. Now with the gloomy weather and occasional rain it's getting harder to ride more often. It was awesome to ride during autumn though with the change of colour in the trees albeit making it a bit more dangerous when riding with all the fallen leaves !!
Still managed to do a couple of long rides though and really get to test the pro-lite wheels and gp4000s. They roll so smooth !! Now I have to coast more on the downhills cause the bike in front of me isn't rolling as fast heh, I guess gravity also plays a role as I'm no light weight On one weekend I got caught out in the rain and had to go through mud !! It was horrible .. mud was everywhere and I think having mudguards made it worst because the clearance was very little and when the mud dried up it became hard and cause my rear mudguard to break off due to the extra weight/friction Pictures paints a thousand words Autumn riding Mud !!! Mud everywhere Lots and lotsa of degrease and scrubbing Clean bike is a happy bike albeit the missing rear mud guard |
