dun think of closeout lar... by the time it happens, you will be tempted by the replacement... and then you will think to wait for the closeout sale of that replacement and it will happen over and over and over again... like AFTA...
get the freakin bike and just settle it for once and for all...or you will forever not get it... Nope! ..... to me, the whole cat and mouse waiting game will be good for me and cycling...ma! ...single minded determination to sacrifice other spendings for the sake of the project, will only heighten it's excitement and resultant appreciation. Hopefully, at the end of the year, I can nap a mousey size price bike or keep the money for 2014.....or another new beginning of a new wait(not my intention) ........aren't I just one of the many to fall in to this category of cyclist.
hello guys, i'm really new to cycling, got me a polygon helios, i'm planning to upgrade the rim to sram s60, you guys got other recommendation ? thanks for zee attention
i think sram has dis-continued their wheel lineup if i am not wrong and replaced by the new 30 and 60's made by zipp...
the s60 even if you can find it is actually quite costly for a carbon wheel and quite heavy due to the alloy brake track...
there is a lot more choices out there for the same price like the reynolds assault and profile design altair 52 although it loses the older toroidal rim shape that zipp uses on it's old wheels..

oh damn, was looking at site and said it was kinda cheap, how much is reynolds assault?
usually the forks fit most frame as MTB don't usually play with tapered head tube and different top and lower bearing sizes...what fork does it come with??? it might not be worth it if it is only more or less the same with the suntour and you might want to go study more on forks as today's forks is very advanced where you have many things to consider like remote lockout, damping adjustment, separated high speed and low speed damping adjustment, how much travel you need, quick release or axle style dropouts and stuff like that.. i thought you say zipp is out of budget? it's about the same here for rsys slr if it is 4k plus....
why not get both??? this is the one time people would like to be negative.. waiting for you to send him money obviously... the higher your expectations... the bigger the disappointment...
if you look hard enough... there is someone in bbs and i think a facebook page doing zipp rim built with novatec hubs and a lot of other carbon rims as well... they say cheap... but i have never seen the price...
and there is also carbon wheelsets from china on ebay for a tad under RM1.5k... but trust it or not, up to you...

The one come with me is the stock fork, which doesnt have adjustment at all, and i saw the suntour has a adjusting cap on its 'shoulder'?

i suggest you ride longer and try other people's forks... fork requirements have gotten a whole load more complicated nowadays that it is just beyond lockout and remote lockouts...
just be sure you don't regret buying the wrong fork just because it fits your budget... it might be wiser to hold back, save a bit more and get a better one...Fox, DT and Rock Shox makes lots of competitive forks as well but they are usually priced slightly higher... but serious riders will always tell you they are worth every cent..
Hi, i a new in road bike. I was looking for some entry bikes in JB. Currently looking at 2013 Polygon helios c3.0 & c4.0. Not sure what it cost..
And also a shop owner intro me the Merida lite 903 (2013) @ rm3k , included water bottle&cage, basic pedal and bike stand. Is that a good deal?
Appreciate all the pro feedback
i got the helios c 3.0 , imho the 9 gear sora is kinda bad for climbing since the ratio is kinda off and it's hard to maintain a good cadence on steeper climbs since it's kinda heavy
