If not mistaken you have to be genuine to install it as well because it also checks WGA validation independently.

and it has Microsoft SpyNet too...  fyi, The SpyNet Community provides a way for Windows AntiSpyware (Beta) users to help each other by reporting new spyware threats.

It seems that made the WGA such an important things..n piracy will be hit hard in the face though..wonder wats the next step of windows piracy..lol

yea, i tried it, only for one day. cant update itself. seems like a problem faced by many. tired of it. at least ms antispyware was not so problematic. LOL. windows better buckup with debugging, always full of problems, their programs. a common problem many programmers never change, to debug their programs and check for exploits. (shakes head).

i rather use 'Ad-Aware SE Personal',coz windows defender only scan windows files,while 'Ad-Aware SE Personal' scan other folders and windows files
