Sorry to burst bubbles, but all signs seem to point to hoax. Even the official Sega forum members have accepted it as hoax.
But even if it's true, then Sega must really get rid of the region coding mindset (given how they asked Sony to region-lock Bayonetta. Luckily they didn't push on when Sony declined and fans protested loudly at various venting areas online) and not follow Nintendo. They must accept that the world is now more connected than before and people learn about region-exclusive games quickly and hate region locking. Only then they can have a chance against PS4 and Xb1.
Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see Sega come back from the dead in the console market as well, but it seems that the only console they're currently interested in continuing on is the Advanced Pico Beena.
