My car slow bai....after u drive you very pek chi with the car....
Is ZTH TTA on Dec but morning time is Open track day. Minimum requirement for car? got 4 tires, no oil leaking as long car in good condition then it's all green. Just a few tips and things need to prepare before going to track days.
Service your car (normal oil change, coolant change, brake fluid)
Check you brakes and tires
signal and lights (in case emergency)
Bring a set of basic tools + - screw drivers, some spanar 10, 12 ,14. Cable ties, cutter
spare coolant and waters (for drinking and could be use for car also)
wear long pants and get a helmet (bike helmet also can)
get a good sleep the day before track day
On that day when arrive in track just relaxed and don't bothered about how other people see you and your car. Walk around and kepoh here and there before the track is open. Soak in the atmosphere and on the 1st few laps don't go kamikaze on the track you will get to see that a lot in the track most of the kamikaze will end up crashing or accident in the track because they think they are pro drivers. The 1st few laps just get used to the track and always keep an eye out for fast cars coming from the rear and give way so that you don't block them or cause them to buttseck you. Some track cars no give face one will buttseck your car if you block their way (intentionally or unintentionally) I learn the hard way one last time also the last track day. I kena buttseck by a Lotus Exige...but just minor damage only.
Don't rush your driving, because the more you rush you can't concentrate on the track. Don't worry you don't have enough time. If you already done a few laps and want to pit just pit don't think think think...that's what happen to a Polo GTI kena side swap by another Type R when the POlo want to pit but last minute went back out to the track and the Type R can't avoid it in time.
Overall in track days, you see a lot of different peoples and drivers. There's the cocky ones, the humble ones, the wannabe pro drivers, the really pro drivers, there's also the My car faster than you so I can block you type also, there's also the captain obvious and "Mr. know it all" in the pit also. Track day is like pasar malam...
I'm by no means a regular track kaki, I just join once in a while to just improve my driving skill and get to know better the car because track days is not cheap and more things to do on the car...I also use track day to give myself some private time and to calm myself and wipe all the stress in daily life clean and freshen up..
speedfest where?
That's very nice information. How to register/enter track open day?
My car is slow, with stock brake pads and rear drum brake that fade easily with some abuse, what I worry most is the collision with other cars. I heard that collision is so usual on open track days.
