guys, will overfilled engine oil cause the engine to not start? mine did it again this morning. 3 times it just ran for 2 seconds and dead. and i checked that the engine oil was more than the maximum level of the dipstick. quite a lot more. and it was done by SC during my 1st service last friday.
*
Usually won't affect engine not to start. Did you wipe dry the dipstick then probe again?

I am very particular about over filling because the crank might be frothing the engine oil like beating an egg.

David, thank you for the info. Will keep that in mind. I just want to reconfirm 1 thing. I notice the FLX has fuel cut when the rpm rev over 6.5k I experienced this on my last track day when I keep revving up to the redline and when the rev touch the redline the car just lost power for a while then I shift to 3rd. It seems like BLM don't have.

UR user here see so many gaga user here with 3max don't know will kena hantam or not...hehehe sweat.gif  sweat.gif

What's the event on December? Is it a track open day?

Is there a minimum requirement to take part in a race?

My car slow bai....after u drive you very pek chi with the car....
Is ZTH TTA on Dec but morning time is Open track day. Minimum requirement for car? got 4 tires, no oil leaking as long car in good condition then it's all green. Just a few tips and things need to prepare before going to track days.
Service your car (normal oil change, coolant change, brake fluid)
Check you brakes and tires
signal and lights (in case emergency)
Bring a set of basic tools + - screw drivers, some spanar 10, 12 ,14. Cable ties, cutter
spare coolant and waters (for drinking and could be use for car also)
wear long pants and get a helmet (bike helmet also can)
get a good sleep the day before track day

On that day when arrive in track just relaxed and don't bothered about how other people see you and your car. Walk around and kepoh here and there before the track is open. Soak in the atmosphere and on the 1st few laps don't go kamikaze on the track you will get to see that a lot in the track most of the kamikaze will end up crashing or accident in the track because they think they are pro drivers. The 1st few laps just get used to the track and always keep an eye out for fast cars coming from the rear and give way so that you don't block them or cause them to buttseck you. Some track cars no give face one will buttseck your car if you block their way (intentionally or unintentionally) I learn the hard way one last time also the last track day. I kena buttseck by a Lotus Exige...but just minor damage only.

Don't rush your driving, because the more you rush you can't concentrate on the track. Don't worry you don't have enough time. If you already done a few laps and want to pit just pit don't think think think...that's what happen to a Polo GTI kena side swap by another Type R when the POlo want to pit but last minute went back out to the track and the Type R can't avoid it in time.

Overall in track days, you see a lot of different peoples and drivers. There's the cocky ones, the humble ones, the wannabe pro drivers, the really pro drivers, there's also the My car faster than you so I can block you type also, there's also the captain obvious and "Mr. know it all" in the pit also. Track day is like pasar malam...

I'm by no means a regular track kaki, I just join once in a while to just improve my driving skill and get to know better the car because track days is not cheap and more things to do on the car...I also use track day to give myself some private time and to calm myself and wipe all the stress in daily life clean and freshen up.. biggrin.gif
speedfest where?
*
That's very nice information. How to register/enter track open day?

My car is slow, with stock brake pads and rear drum brake that fade easily with some abuse, what I worry most is the collision with other cars. I heard that collision is so usual on open track days.

I upsized my Persona from DIN45 battery to DIN55, there's a great reduction of air-con blink or jerk.

Thanks for the sharing. But why would you not recommend the Anti Roll Bar?

If the back is too stiff, your car will be tail happy.

I know A573154 installed 3max rear seat brace aka rear strut bar and UR rear antiroll bar. As if it's not enough, he also autofoam-ed his car  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif

I think he reviewed before, ask him how it is  notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif

I don't want to upgrade my Persona's stock ARB. If I do put in thick UR ARB, I think my car will drift at most highway curves. I find it quite tail happy recently, maybe tyre thread start to reduce significantly.

No, I don't believe in being stiffest=best in handling. Moreover it's a street car.

i fully agree with you and that's what i believe in too smile.gif
(that's also why i insisted to remain coil/struts and not to go for adjustables, not to mention the cost)

atm i run on rear anti roll, front strut and fender bars, with the stock thin/tiny anti roll bar (i believe all cars come with that anyways, especially when my 1999 iswara has it lol)
basically my goal is to draw a good balance between performance (in this case, handling) and comfort and i think after many years, i've drawn that line pretty decently laugh.gif
*
Many cars today do not have anti roll bar as standard.

yes i've been to track twice now. although it's on my slow stock iswara la, first time i was the slowest car for the entire day despite having semi slicks.
2nd time managed to not being the slowest car, still very bad timing though since i was being too noob with the tires.

comfort tires aside, they aren't my main problem. over inflation and the too much heat build up as the track surface was insanely hot. most kaki there reported their tires are further inflated between 3-6psi or more. so you actually have to run on lower air pressure, or run on semi slicks which actually work better under heat/stress laugh.gif
(yes regret selling off my achilles 123 LOL!)

anyways next round is dependent on my ad08r tires (refer my signature laugh.gif ); once they arrive i'll be on the lookout for track events (there's one at pasir gudang at 30th june btw, maybe can fit in that one)

Let me at least be your passenger the next round you're going. Or better still if I manage to join in as well tongue.gif

why passenger la, car not fast also. 3 speeder automatic iswara on stock 4g15 engine. max speed is about 170km/h +/- (downhill cheating can go over 180km/h la laugh.gif )

If the track is quite big and alright for newbie, I'd be glad to bring my Persona. Lol..

I also have 4G15 Wira. This I won't mind scratches and scuffs as much as my Persona.

david, your video reminds me of my 4G15, it rev up more linearly than campro. Campro seems to high rev sesuka hati, and has some dead spots that is slow to rev, then fast again
