The SC rectify problem part, I think this one happens to many SC. I believe their aim is to delay until the 3 yrs period is over. Then, they only tell you the real issue or tell you this and that needs to be replaced already.
*
Speaking of this, recently got a Persona member who encounter problem on his car on the last day of his warranty period. After going roundabout with customer service, he got the problem fix in SC a few days after warranty expired, and was told that if the same problem arise in the future he can claim it as well.

I guess that's +1 point to Proton.

Anyway, dun mind me when I rant about Toyota. If you stay around you'll hear me bashing Toyota quite a bit brows.gif

The problem is SC staff and tech always keep mouth shut even they saw a problem like you said. For me it's not a good practice because customer pays for the service and as a Lead Tech is my duty to make sure the customer's car is at 100% when it leaves the SC. For me, if I spot something not right and faulty even customer didn't make noise I will inform the customer then get it fixed or write in a report for warranty claim. I remember the most I've filed in a day was 7 warranty claims, the Branch manager ask me why so many warranty claims I just said suppliers parts so low quality how not to have claim.

The most bitter part was when I was with this car brand, the aunty just got her car a Spec**a the driver's rear door jam. turns out the lock mechanism broke and cannot open the door. The techs that were handling the car manage to make the door open, I see they work also shake heard. They broke that poor ladies car inner panel and and a make dent at the inner wheel arch because they were using a freaking hammer to try and force the door open. I was a new guy then so I told the branch manager that need to file claim since the tech broke the inner panel and dent the inner wheel arch area. He just told me no, ask me to tell the aunty the damage was because of the jam door....that one I really can't do it. I end up telling the truth to the owner and got fired for that but If I know my boss was like that I would have not stayed long also.

The problem is that two items on the list – UN ECE R94 (frontal collision system) and UN ECE R95 (side collision) – are impossible to implement in one year unless the companies take losses on existing stocks of both assembled cars and CKD packs.

Announced in 2007, regulation No. 94 and No. 95 of the UN ECE specifies a minimum crash safety performance for frontal collision speed of 56 km/h and side collision speed of 50 km/h.

But ayam still puzzled as to why all der Plotong models (besides the N-Line Gaga) are compliant while we still see other supposedly reputable cars on the list hmm.gif
*
Indeed.

And I also wonder if all those cars in the exemption list are compliant now. I'm also surprised the Fiesta 1.4l and 1.6 Sedan is exempted because they both have 7 airbags (before you say anything, I know it is not only about airbags)....but the 1.6S hatchback with 2 airbags in not exempted (which I assume it means it is compliant).

yup whining, but not loud and not all the way.

tak tak if i hear closely on the bonnet
*
The deceleration whine should be the CVT? hmm.gif

Normal tappet sound is very rapid , semi-soft taktaktaktaktaktak. If you hear the tak tak tak is very slow then it is something else dy.

Do you hear it AFTER switching off the engine or while the engine is running?

Went to see the "new" Saga SV, checking out the rear V-bar briefly and the 3-point middle safety belt, really wondering if the stuff can be bought from Proton Parts Centre to be retrofitted into our older batch of Saga(s).

Seems like the V-bar is bolted on only with existing holes(but I can't compare as my Saga isn't with me at the moment). Although, of course, it it costs too much, just get the 3Max bar la.. laugh.gif
*
WhereTF have you been?? blink.gif

From the pictures I believe the new V-bars are bolted to the same holes as the 3max bar hmm.gif

Been swamped with work. Hadn't been driving the FLX SE much. In fact, been pampered with driving all sorts of forced-induction RWD rides I felt "meh" the last time I drove the FLX SE like a month ago. laugh.gif

But it sure is interesting to see if we could get our hands on a factory V-bar(which is what I did on my previous Wira but that was welded on from an Evo rear chassis)
*
Deng...no fight la FI RWDs vs Saga. What cars did you drive?

The V-bar, if we can ask Proton to retrofit, I don't think would be cheaper than a 3max bar. Furthermore it does nothing for the handling so it leads me to believe it is not as strong either. I'm more interested in the 3-point middle seatbelt hmm.gif

mat79's on 3 points middle seatbelts
i think hell a lot to change, coz i think is the speakerboard strong enough to hold a person if accident happens

as for rear seat brace, i'll go for 3max, alang2 fit a nice one terus.
also thinking later add on rear lower brace. is it good for torsion beam fwd?
*
It's not bolted on the speakerboard only gua, if yes then can kasi buang dy. I suspect it is bolted on the chassis frame under the speaker board as well. Need to see it to confirm.

rear lower brace bar won't affect torsion beam. Only the rear anti roll bar will.
