I owned a 1 years +++ iPad 2 16GB Wifi only and last Saturday the screen shattered (drop) and the unit still working perfectly. I asked Apple Reseller here and they said 1:1 exchange need pay RM700 for a new unit with 3 months warranty. And I also asked some shops that repair the glass for RM250-300 (Grade AAA glass)

Can give some suggestion? Repair and use it or 1:1 exchange or Sell the iPad 2 as parts (how much can sell btw?) and get new iPad 4.

I feel that RM700 for a new iPad 2 not really that worth cos now iPad 4? and 2nd hand iPad 2 maybe RM500-800 and maybe I can sell my broken parts for some cover.

Hmm hard choices here. I'll suggest you to sell it as spare part. Probably can get you around rm 100-200. Or you can repair the iPad 2 with grade a glass. Rm 700 can get new set with full accessories already

better get a new one. its bonus if you can sell the ipad2 for spare part.

It may cost you around RM200-250to repair this as I know someone who recently repaired it.

the RM 700 ipad is 1:1 exchange...ur broken ipad + RM 700 get new ipad (same model)

There's a shop specialized in repairing iPad cracked screen called Wap-in-Teleshop located in Pertama Kompleks Jalan TAR KL.

Last time my iPad 2 screen broke, and I repair it for less than 250 bucks. My screen now looks brand new.

But then, you're so far from KL. Better ask them if they do courier services. At least u dont have to fork out RM700.

I repair oem screen rm180 or original screen rm300.

Different reseller will give different price. Try QCD @ Berjaya Times Square. Tried exchange 1:1 for iPod touch and iPad mini. So far the lowest price I got.

But both still under warranty during exchange although they kept saying that its not under warranty coverage.

Btw, 1:1 exchange doesn't mean that you'll get brand new unit. It's refurbished by Apple.

The shop provide warranty on the newly replaced screen? Mine jz cracked.. Would like to change it oso..

Argh My iPad 3 today also crack at bottom right corner around the bezel area

replaced my ipad 2 screen, and there are dust coming under the screen.. according to the shop its impossible to avoid as there are little holes and gaps due to the ipad got bent here n there..

just sell it off cheap and buy new ipad.. less headache..

GUys, if i don wanna repair the crack screen and leave it covered by stickers, will the crack worsen?
