My phone has not returned from the screen change yet. It's 2 weeks. Time to give them another call.

I got back my phone from screen replacement. A two weeks replacement job. The new screen is perfect and looks even better, perhaps that's the surprise after Sony updated to 253 firmware. Unfortunately our region does not have 307 yet.

Oh crap, the repaired phone has terrible water retention in all its camera. I think water resistance failed.

No flaps turned red. Water entry must have been through the screen. This phone is not serviceable, even by Sony themselves

This is my leaky Xperia Z that I want to go replace it tomorrow. The water took 2 days to disappear but the camera has water stain in it already. The next one will be my 3rd replacement Xperia Z and I hope it's all perfect this time.

just sharing for those looking for wet screen protector, keying in promo code "820ff2" in Xtreme Guard website gives you 82% off their wet screen protector, with the condition minimum purchase of 2 sets.

That makes only 90 cents USD for screen protector and USD $1.8 for front and back protector. Unbelieveable price

However from my previous experience in Nexus 4, i still cannot understand why people all over praises wet application screen protector but i find the odd wavy structure and smoothness is absolutely down the drain.

I was hyped out about wet screen protectors. After I tried it myself, good dry screen protector wins it hands down.

Hi there, I have the same problem as yours, plus now I totally lost the signal.

Any advice? Thanks!
*
I just visited the service center, they told me my phone is normal.

I have a little doubt because owning the phone for so long, I never seen so much fogging in both cameras before replacing the screen and it took 2 days to dry up. I can post up more photos later.

If your phone has functionality failure, then go to the service center immediately. At least mine still operates normally.

Thanks for the advice!

My phone is still cant receive signal...

What cause your phone camera fogging inside?

I used hair dryer and it works but not the signal.
*
No idea. I never seen the fogging like that and there was really water drop visible, not mist.

I'll just go on using it until the moisture kills the phone, as the phone still have got 1 year warranty. But for your case, you need to go for repair

My Xperia Z failed to boot this morning. Probably some damage due to water intrusion and it survived the water since Friday, 4 days ago. Reliability is not bad for a phone. Smart Sony dismissed me yesterday saying those water inside the camera is normal, I really don't think water drops inside is normal, it isn't even fogging.

try put ur xperia z into a plastic back/seal back together with thirsty hippo, try n c will it suck out the water drop inside ur phone.
*
No point trying to fix it my own because Sony suppose to honour the repair. It's sent in already. I think half the time I don't get to use my Xperia Z. I've never encountered phone repair at all after 10++ phones, which I myself lost track. This phone makes me feel it is worth getting original unit rather than AP set.

Just an update over my case, I haven't got back my phone or get a replacement yet. Water probably damaged some part of the motherboard due to water ingestion after screen replacement.

I have contacted Sony phone support to escalate my phone's warranty process. Got to wait for some days before they can decide to give a replacement unit.

Already a total of 3 weeks in service including screen change.

Still waiting ahh?

Yes, no choice because the phone can't be awaken/started using power button. Also the volume button may simply trigger.

I suspect water went in after they changed the screen.

The memory card slot moisture indicator just turned pink. The phone is still working perfectly fine though.

Mine turn red at microusb port..Does my warranty has been void..?

Actually if the water legitimately went in on itself, without us deliberately opening the flaps, the warranty should still apply.

Now my screen is flickering. Based on previous time, it takes 3-4 days before the phone dies. I'll give Sony a call this time, no point they keep fixing the phone but water resistance is still flawed after LCD change.
