A few days back, I check out the cam on the .253 firmware

the setup.
1. White paper with an A written in blue ink
2. The phone is suspended above the paper ~ 80-100 mm
3. Several type setting used

the results:
On .253 FW, Normal mode, HDR ON, ISO 100


On .253 FW, Superior Auto, HDR OFF, ISO auto


back then I though I have no idea for the second banding problem
the first one with the ghosting is because of fake HDR on the Z
where it will take 2/3 frames and stitch it together
some how on the white paper the algorithm mess up

And I retest on the .307 FW hopping improvement

the results:
.307 FW, HDR ON, ISO 400


.307 FW, HDR OFF, ISO 800


.307 FW, HDR OFF, ISO 1600


.307 FW, HDR OFF, ISO 200 or 100



bear in mind all this test was done under fluorescent lighting

gonna try out under sunlight

the banding problem is present on fluorescent lighting only
not happening on sunlight...thats good

but the stitching is still happening under sunlight
but only have issue with ISO1600,
Lower ISO have no ghosting issue

and has anyone able to use the Docomo Status mod on stock odex .307 FW

been reading around XDA, that using V7 and/or V8 have the restart issue

I have updated to v7/v8 docomo with no problem on .253
then when i update fw to .307, initially can boot
then playing around the stamina mode later crash it and cannot open it at all
restart get me stuck with the screwdriver/spanner with blue animated bar below

after a patient wait
the phone boot back up with no problem so far

rom flashing is something i dont like
maybe i lack the time to understand wholly on the process

sort of promised myself to not crap things up when i have to wipe all to update from nice .434 to better .253
just for the sleep notification light

now ... have lost a good docomo notification
and to regain back is to do more process....

guess have to wait ofr niaboc79 to update
but last i heard he is off for 10 days from 11 june....
21 june is 3 more days.....

wait ..at the lock screen
you should be able to push the current lock screen to the right to show a blank screen with a + in the middle
you can have 5 lockscreen page and 1 camera app page

too bad the whole page is taken up by one type lockscreen widget

Well not everyone can get the Update yet
Some on 253 still not getting anything from PCC

Well you can try flastool to flash the latest
But if you prefer from Sony one
you can try flashing to 307 first the update

By the way
Able to flash to 423 without anything wipe

I guess the advantage of being brave in testing out stuff
like what andrewtst did

Still prefer stock stuff
but now with root and maybe with purexaudio to solve the song skipping in walkman

yeah!

Format the sd card to Exfat
no skipping detected in walkman

then the lag in the album
excruciating slow when scrolling

but when restart for the 3rd time
less issue

I think on market there are two types of cable

One is the full signal cable
the other is a power cable

I have both, Full signal from sony themselves, and another from Yoobao power pack, both works with each other and can be used to connect to the pc

The yoobao power pack itself is something i havent seen
where the power pack disconnect itself once the battery is full

where as the second type of cable that lacks the data signal line would not work with sony charger (I think the charger needs data signal to start supplying the juice)

well I have able update my Z to 4.2.2 on Weds(26Jun)
my PCC software have a new update the previous day
and i got the update the next day

granted, my timeline :
434 > root > 253 > root > 307 > root > 423

423 to 253 is standard wipe all stuff through PCC
to root i have to re-wipe all again with Flashtool

the to 307 + root no need to wipe , but this update is not available on PCC
and to 423 also did not need wiping :happy:

now from what i can gather, those on 253 cannot detect the latest updates,
so either wait for proper release or do it by flashtool
some claim to be able to update after downgrade (flashtool again) to 434 version

Not a problem per-se
But morfeature that is the feature Sony provided
It used to be that the phone totally have no notifications led with stamina mode on and wonky led when off
But with 253 few onward the led work like it is now
White quick flash when screen is off with stamina on and normal when stamina off

Guess have to wait if they are gonna improve it or not

tried my brother maxis 5gb
can detect
but cannot register

he is on note 2 package

my own is prepaid hotlink
also can detect lte but cannot register to that network

can search out the signal is service provider
when click to select
it will try to connect and after a while it will prompt "failed to register"

I have pattern lock turn on
and thought it is different from swipe

so I change to swipe lock screen, and wadya know... no issue as well



I would guess
the problem you having is from the clashing of the fullscreen walkman app with the "swipe to unlock"
my' unit will show the message when the walkman app is small
and will turn to a small arrow is the walkman app is maximize

let the phone settle down first
see if the laggness goes away

I have no issue
work is on domain
home is typical modem-router
even connect through wifi repeater also no problem
