Photo comparison of XPERIA Z - 10.1.1.A.1.307 v/s XPERIA ZL - 10.1.1.A.1.253

I believe both camera is same, the different spot here due to different firmware use, it is obvious newer firmware 10.1.1.A.1.307 can capture much better light, which given much appealing and bright output than previous firmware 10.1.1.A.1.253, well done Sony, again't improvement on camera output.

I tested both SUS and PC Companion and both shows that the 307 update is there.
I even flashed a stock 307 last night..

You using ZL? Sony haven't push out .307 firmware for ZL yet for any country at the moment.

A few days back, I check out the cam on the .253 firmware

the setup.
1. White paper with an A written in blue ink
2. The phone is suspended above the paper ~ 80-100 mm
3. Several type setting used

the results:
On .253 FW, Normal mode, HDR ON, ISO 100


On .253 FW, Superior Auto, HDR OFF, ISO auto


back then I though I have no idea for the second banding problem
the first one with the ghosting is because of fake HDR on the Z
where it will take 2/3 frames and stitch it together
some how on the white paper the algorithm mess up

And I retest on the .307 FW hopping improvement

the results:
.307 FW, HDR ON, ISO 400


.307 FW, HDR OFF, ISO 800


.307 FW, HDR OFF, ISO 1600


.307 FW, HDR OFF, ISO 200 or 100

bear in mind all this test was done under fluorescent lighting

gonna try out under sunlight

2. Official ps3 ds3 wireless support
3. ExFAT support for MicroSDXC

Try use dolphin.. Me disabled chrome and use dolphin as my default browser. Fast, easier to navigate. Friendly UI.

Even after update 2 ver4.2.2 for my XZL, wifi signal still not improve ...

WiFi signal weak in xperia here I think mostly ppl are talking about the signal bar shown.

It's diff with diff manufacturer. As long as the WiFi didn't dc always compared with other phones in same area, it's mean good actually.

Maxis by default will tell you XZ is not supported. Forget about their nonsense. Their support staffs are not well informed n updated
As long your card is microsim n issued in the past 1year it is auto LTE enabled. If you cannot detect LTE in LTE areas than go n change sincard at any Maxis center. There is no activation required
