Murasame, Shigeru and Kazuya got a pretty tragic life too, you know. Kenzaki's fate is not as tragic as those showa riders as he himself chooses his path to become a joker, and his appearance in Decade and the light novel are considered as canon to the series aftermath installment.

Murasame got his sister killed and with him being brainwashed.
Shigeru got his sidekick aka lover died in a fight as well as his best friend who got turned into Stronger's prototype.
Kazuya had to face that his best friend and his martial art master dead, killed by Dogma.
All three had to face innerself issues all the way as the story progressed.

Not to forget Godai too. His arcle breaks in the last fight with N-Daguva-Zeba.

Kaito backstory:

Kaito’s father was the only source of income his family had

After his company and land was brought out by Yggdrasill, his family put him in an orphanage cause they can’t afford to raise him.

Orphanage is near the shrine Mai’s family works/owns

Mai keeps asking Kaito to play with her but he was too shy

Kaito always watched her dance and believed that was the reason he had the strength to go on

Mai was the reason Kaito decided to form a dance team in rebellion to Yggdrasil

In high school, Kaito bumped into Kouta once and thought he was weak for apologizing instead of fighting him

Kaito kept declining adoption because he was waiting for his parents to come back to him

They never did so he lived in the orphanage until he was 16.

That was when he dropped out of school and formed a dance team.

He made a dance team because he heard that Mai’s family shrine was taken down and decided dancing would be the best way to pay tribute.

The Dance Teams used to dance in the Outer City Areas before being bribed by Yggdrasil to take place in the Inner Area with the Lockseeds.

Baron was one of the first to receive them.

Their first victory came from beating a team called Severe Beat.

Zack came from that team.

Peco used to be a classmate of Mai and was invited to Team Gaim but declined because he wanted to be top ranked.
