if u care about the design n want premium feel, go for htc one..
the design really nice.. but beware of the "gap" issue..

if u want sdcard slot, removable battery, better daylight camera, fast update, bigger screen, go for s4..

i also was in ur situation.. dunno what to choose between one and s4.. but at last, i go for s4..

price quite firm.. but really satisfied with the casing.. thinner and slimmer..
at first, im want metal slate.. bcoz the colour match with s3 black mist.
but that time no stock for metal slate, so i go for reventon yellow. n really satisfied with it.

hahaha... anyway, i still will get metal slate colour.. but not at the moment since really happy with yellow.
