But according to Soya Cincau, the LTE S4 will have better battery life due to the different processor used.

we go back to the true nature of root... root is the access level of administrator of servers/systems. normal users are not given access to this part of the system. they dont need it and they might abuse it.

this is similar to our phone, we are only given access to parts that we truly need: the UI and a little filesystem. but due to the nature that we own the phone so we also want the access. so we root without really needing ...

my advice root if you are at uncle benny's level (enthusiast/super user) if u are just another user there is no need.

also no need to tell others if they need to root or not, their want and needs are dissimilar to our's. smile.gif i prefer root myself because i use titanium backup to backup everything..

p/s: jb is not the same as root on android.. there is no need to root if all u want is just to have access to unauthorized software.

Nobody force anybody to root their phone. This SGS4 is good enough to be use without rooting.

For me,I think root is needed for galaxy s4,I used my brother s4 for 2 days, there are some ui lag which my nexus 4 doesn't have, and the settings part are complicated to me,also the battery life is not as good as my rooted nexus 4(maybe cause I use custom kernel and ROM),but if galaxy s4 with CM10.1,I would say its a perfect phone, the volume, function, and everything is much better than my nexus 4,except smoothness

Different ppl have their own preference.
Once you use 3rd party launcher such as Nova or Apex...the phone is smooth enough.

And some ppl do find the TW is already smooth enough for their daily usage.

some ppl need root so that they can customize their phone, use titanium backup, use cwm n so on..
some ppl doesnt need root becoz they already satisfied with stock ROM and doesnt need all those root-required app..

n its true that by installing other launcher, can make phone smoother.. nova, apex, go, mihome.. biggrin.gif

but for me, i need root.. rclxms.gif

However, can't find further details from http://store.maxis.com.my
Just keeping my finger cross the price for non-One Club won't turn out to be disappointing.
