QUOTE(vincentlai @ Jun 22 2013, 05:35 PM) so if around rm69 is the cheap one or? Higher cost does not equate higher quality. Vendors are known to inflate their prices. You have to physically check out the products and compare them. Of course when you buy on line that is not possible. You would then have to rely on the dealer's reputation and testimonials received.

QUOTE(Noobi3 @ Jun 22 2013, 02:50 PM) That's because as a SME dealer , only he can register it for u via SMS . Are u a SME dealer ? Even if he teaches you how to do it , can you do it ? And do u know why he offered his service ? . He did it cuz it's a free service , just a simple sms and details but there was a forumer asking for "donation" for helping them register their phones . And that was how he started offering free service to forumers here . +1 Let me share my painful experience with u. Bought my set from Maxis dealer. Ask them to register for me as the box in the sticker said so, they ask me go Samsung store. I went samsung store, they ask me go online. I went online, are photo and attach my receipt, that's it, but there is no confirmation sms as I still keep my s3 sms confirmation. 1 week later, I key in the code and sms out to verify eregistration, sms reply it's not registered. I can't register myself as there is no dealership #. I was stuck and dunno where to go. Then members here share helpful info that someone can help for free. I PM him and it was done in 20 mns I get the authentic sms to confirm my e-warranty is successful. So u see the hassle? Bottomline lone is, dealers and samsung warranty method sucks. Luckily there are ppl out here who is willing to help.

QUOTE(KennyKB @ Jun 22 2013, 01:35 PM) If he really wants to be helpful he will teach others how to register by e-warranty instead of asking them for their IMEI. His intentions may be good but others with bad intention may copy his modus operandi. These IMEI nos can be collected and SOLD. If u r so paranoid and think that ur so VIP, u can choose not to give ur IMEI..THATS ALL..

QUOTE(noookiller @ Jun 22 2013, 11:02 PM) Yo guys. Warranty sms confirmation is from what number? 62003 This is how to check ur e-warranty status PC<SPACE>IMEI NUMBER to 33802 <celcom line> PC<SPACE>IMEI NUMBER to 62002 <digi/maxis line> That was how I know even I registered warranty online with receipt scans and all, I am still not registered with e-warranty as they are totally different systems. Lousy samsung warranty systems. This post has been edited by 666devil: Jun 22 2013, 11:29 PM

QUOTE(blurkia @ Jun 22 2013, 05:28 PM) Thanks for the reply. I think you don't need to restart your phone. Just toggle the airplane mode then it'll work. Anyway, apparently, this is pretty common in xda forum. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2268320I'm not sure why our dear forummers are not seeing this. I believe there should be quite a few of us having the 32gb lte version? I also see this happening on maxis network in PG on i9500 non LTE... BTW, anyone use this mp3 player, its simple and straighforward http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?...e=search_resultIt used to work well on my Note2 but since changing to S4, the equalizer settings are not working at all...worse, it makes the music sound softer. Anyone facing thses equalizer problems on other mp3 apps on s4? I suspect it maybe due to either JB 4.2.2 or Samsung's Adapt Sound? This post has been edited by jackcfk: Jun 22 2013, 11:39 PM

I registered 2 Samsung smartphones myself by emailing the same details to ewarranty.sme@samsung.com instead of a 3rd party. Then I got back the confirmation sms from Samsung. How difficult is that? You don't need to be a Samsung dealer or agent to e-register your warranty. If you think it is better to give your imei to a stranger for something which takes no extra effort to do yourself then go ahead. It is nothing with being paranoid or VIP. The fellow may be sincere or not, you don't really know for sure but if you have given him your imei and phone no., sleep well. Just hope that in future nobody clone your phone and sock you with a big bill. This post has been edited by KennyKB: Jun 22 2013, 11:40 PM

Even if they did clone your IMEI, the telco reads secure information off your SIM before allowing you to call.
