At first I thought there was something wrong with my optical cable, since my amp would constantly detect that the incoming digital signal would be lost every now and then. Then today.. it just totally died, no amount of fiddling with the cable would bring it back to life.

At a hunch I unpluged my 3rd party component cable and plugged back in my original composite/HDMI cable. It worked perfectly!!!

I guess the 3rd party manufacturers don't use good parts in their optical transmitters...

arrgg.. now I guess I should look for an original first party component cable.

I got 1 ori component cable haven't opened yet. Want?
