Dear edogawa,

Maybe you could be more specific in your own brief, that way designers can clearly understand what you want and there is no communication problems.

When you ask for a mascot design, I would think it would be wise if you gave more information what kind of mascot you would like e.g. for a school club?, for an event?, for an online website?, for a children's school?

The price ranges from RM400+ - RM1500 depending on what type of mascot you want. The more specific you are the easier it is for designers to give you their quotation.

cheers.

Please read carefully again.. I'm not asking you what you need...i'm asking you what will the mascot represent?

lowyat's logo is made for an online malaysian forum, do you want a mascot for the same purposes?

never knew that a simple "how much would it cost roughly" will need me to provide so much info....

Pretty much most of the info are "confidential" for the time being.

btw, if this are the response i am getting. Thanks for reading and have a nice day (am glad that LYN dudes are all so kind and helpful)...

I am getting a better response from oversea forums...

Got a rough number of US$100 to US$250 (from some online "store")
While getafreelancer.com can go as low as $50 smile.gif

edogawa,

when you started this thread i had already asked you a couple of questions regarding clarity and communication, this is to help you and to help the designer in getting a clear understanding. The problem is you have practically given no information whatsoever, except the fact that you want a logo like lowyat.net.forum.

You should have just stated the information was 'confidential', and being frank and honest your very first post was very unprofessional. How can designers give you a quotation when the only information you given them is that you want something like lowyat.net.forum and has no specifications? You did not even ask to see people's portfolio or designs, you asked for only the price? You are suprised by the response you got here?

" Asking around... anyone that can design a mascot?

?"

The cost of a logo does not equal to the quality of the product. If you wanted the cheapest as possible you should have also stated it in the beginning. If you want to get as cheap as possible you should try the pasar malam, please do not insult freelancers.

I can congradulate mongoo and sonictheory for seeing where I was headed when I was asking the questions for more clarity.

nope, don worry. ur not insulting any freelancer or designer here smile.gif

but honestly, ur insulting urself...insulting of ur own knowledge and understanding about product's procedure & process, concept developement, as well as the developement cycle of a product. we can see u don even have a basic knowledge in this...this is so pityful...

congrats that u have finally get a designer for urself. but i can surely tell u that, they will come back to this question again, as in, wat is ur concept behind...

just be prepared...don make the same mistake again wink.gif
