Considering this article came out waaaay before the phone was available anywhere, it's old and linked many times already in the HTC One threads.
Nexus devices were never meant for every day users, and not solely for the "Google Experience". It is a stable hardware platform for a new version of Android that developers can use to create compatible apps.
this is totally BS. my entire family of non nerds are all using Nexus devices and they love it. before that it's HTC wildfire, HTC desire, HTC desire HD, Samsuck S2, iphone 4 / 4s, then Galaxy Nexus, then Nexus 4 and would certainly choose a vanilla android after that also.Nexus devices were never meant for every day users, and not solely for the "Google Experience". the ONE with stock android is certainly an upgrade option if they hadn't bought the Nexus 4, we hated HTC since they ditched the DHD's ICS update, and hated HTC's non-sense, but loved their build quality when we saw the One X, and we all biting our fingers when we touched that gorgeous ONE, too bad it's not stock, now we will wait and see whether we can get our hands on the vanilla ONE
