Every company has their own strategy in designs. Samsung had proved again to the critics that keeping their own design signature cues in their phones is still a right move. Personally I don't find Samsung designs "horrible" or any other manufacturer phone designs. In current stiff competitive market, I am sure Samsung and Apple know much better than all of us in deciding its design.  You can point out what you dont like about it.  If you dont like any of the phone manufacturer design, just don't buy it. Personally design is in my lower rank of criteria in buying any smartphone. No phone manufacturer these days comes out with ugly design - it is just a matter of whether one likes it or not. I have openly said here I had never like HTC One design on its front speakers ( though many of you will disagreed ) but I still buy the phone for its other purposes/value. I still prefer S4 design over it anytime and I own both phones

True. Samsung have their own design strategy. However, some of us may know and some of us may not know. As long they (Samsung) meet their target production price, material cost and whatsoever, they are good to go with manufacturing.
