Thank you. I learned a lot from this . Basicly its a rant + review + a bit of history lesson on why HTC is where it is today. The take home for this is that new Generation phones like s4 and HTC One support 5ghz wifi(but router must support also). If you want a good reception phone with strong signals , go for Nokia.

I think better use it until it fail then go and claim new one. As it is there is little basis for the claim since it still works and nothing malfunction came from it yet.

Since ifixit is having a rather hard time taking this HTC One apart I wonder if they would just go ahead and give you a new one if anything goes wrong inside? but someone mention only RM149 to replace battery out of warranty period.
Think they have special tools to pry in there without damaging the aluminium case?

Not quite sure about how much it will drain the battery but will monitor it when I am out and about.
At least now I can leave the wake button well alone. No presses at all using it.

Super easy. Just goto any homescreen other than BlinkFeed and PINCH and you will be presented with a page where you can add shortcuts and widgets to your homescreens . On the top part Blinkfeed page is where the you see a "House" icon , when you select another screen then an option to set as default homescreen will present itself.

s4 is 1.9Ghz Snapdragon 600. HTC One is 1.7Ghz Snapdragon 600.

If ask Benny to OC his rooted One to 1850Mhz and try Antutu again then we will know. haha.

Maybe Note 3 with 3Gb of RAM will be able to solve.
I am no expert but i saw somewhere TouchWiz is already a 'Framework" and not easily removed by installing launchers. By that what it means I also blur blur.

I use that Double Dip Red/White/Gray case that HTC made for HTC One. Pretty good so far . Downside is some dust accumulation in the edges. If you clean it routinely should be okey. Upside is all round protection from drop .

I also feel pretty comfortable with blinkfeed. Altough some might say it's just flipboard moved to the homescreen.

You are right. Wraped with plastic difficult to show off the good design. I think need clear casing of some sort.
But black color put clear casing very ugly.

Not a fan of the slit type microphone and receiver on the ori butterfly or the S.
Grills on the HTC One looks better.And not a huge upgrade in processor. They are
saving the Snapdragon 800 for HTC One 2. Nice up in battery though.
Hope they dont end up releasing 3 different sizes of this thing. Making it dreadful to
find a casing.
