Hi guys, whats the best way to warranty my brighstar maxis HTC One?

I suspect my battery has some problems. I hard resetted the phone last night, only install battery monitoring app.

It drained 5% during deep sleep, no wakelocks. Most of the reports online praises the "amazing" battery life during idle, which only drops 1% for 8-7 hours.

These are the screenshots taken this morning when i woke up. I left idle at 99% battery to see whether can i get the 1% drop during deep sleep or not (my phone line is quite stable, 3-4 bars)

I continued to use my phone as usual, checked my email this morning for 3 minutes. Made a few phone calls here and there. It dropped 8% blink.gif The screen was only on for 10 minutes.

Developer Edition? o.O  I think they mean the HTC One Google Edition?

Vesto  Send straight to SiS.  Send to Maxis no use, they ask you to send to SiS yourself.

Its not brightstar meh for maxis?

Hmm in my opinion to claim warranty for battery is kind of tough as you will need to convince them it is faulty and trust me that is not easy. As for your usage i have the same usage percentage as well. During sleep i will lose 5-6% if i am not mistaken with Wifi on the whole nite. To me that is normal because that happens on my G note 2 as well.

It is gonna be hard. But im very disappointed with the battery life, i only can get 2 hours of screen time max.

Other users on this thread and XDA are getting 3-4 hours.

I was expecting the phone to at least last me a day without any charge

Doesn't seem to matter somehow.  I could register my warranty on SiS website, and when I called SiS they had my details tongue.gif  Brightstar is a distributor for within Malaysia, but SiS gets the stock from HTC.  Brightstar and SiS website also leads to the same phone number to call for warranty.

Alright thanks biggrin.gif

So do you think there is a chance to warranty my phone based on the problems above?

It's gonna be tough, but use the phone for a few more days to see if it happens again.  Better yet, factory reset your phone and see if it was an app issue.

all these results were after factory reset. No apps installed other than battery monitoring app.

Use betterbatterystats to check your partial n kernel wakelocks to see what is waking phone when idle
SOT 4-5 hours can be achieve easily
I don't think is your battery issue until you have analysed your wakelock
*
Alright then, will analyze it and report back here

From my experience to maintain good battery life during idle is to shut off data connection during idle time like sleeping. DSBS is one of the app you can use to make it happen 1% per 8 hours idle.
To have better SOT then you will have to underclock your and make it run about 1.2ghz max.
SOT for gaming , web browsing and reading books are different. You can get 7 hours SOT for reading ebooks , 5 hours of web browsing on wifi and 2 hours for solid 3D gaming.
Some XDA users battery life is just insane and just dont make it as a benchmark because our daily use consist of email , messenger , social networking , browsing , media and music.

Thanks for your input. I will check your points out asap smile.gif

Anyone annoyed by the stock music player?

If you sort by artist, then you choose Daft punk. When you press the back button it brings you back to the top of the list instead of where you last scrolled.

This is annoying the hell out of me. Only when you select Artist, Genre and Songs. The Album sort works fine.
