Well IMO, Marika is a 強引 type character, it is logic for Komi to write 20 chapters of her trying hard. Tsugumi on the other hand, is a forgiving and a caring character. It is natural that she would give up on trying her luck so easily and just rooting for her best friend Chitoge. No?
