David, what do you think of CIMB Principal Asia Pacific Dynamic Income? FSM recommend me for Asia exposure in my portfolio, which invest in high dividend yield stock in that region? As compared with Hwang Select Asia Opportunity.

The fund objective is to generate a consistent min return of 8% p.a.

How has that been doing for you prior to the recent incident?
*
It was quite. Before the recent minor slump, ROI was on track to around 2%.

Hahaha! True that! FSM called me today and said that they can't come up with a deal to waive or absorb the transfer fee for me. So I decided to leave my funds with that bank. No harm, so yeah..

What fund and which bank?

“The key difference (from AmAsia Pacific REITs) is you can invest up to 100% in REITs counter under this new fund and have the flexibility of investing up to 30% in property equities,” explained Ng.

I cannot understand this statement.

Dubious statement what I can see most of time it is under perform.
*
Because it has high proportion into North Asian equity. Most of the North Asian market excluding Japan is underperformed and attractive PE.

Ya.. How bout your view on this fund, potential to bounce back ?

Personally I don't like China or North Asian.

I still put my bet on ASEAN.

So, HwangIM funds should suit u best, both Select Asia Opp and Select Asia Quantum are overweight ASEAN.
*
I have been eyeing on those two but no opportunity to buy them as the volatility is pretty violent lately.

A lot of people have misinterpreted Uncle Ben's message.

He just said that there's a likelihood of tapering the current asset purchase pace (meaning reducing the monthly amount) provided that the US economy is growing according to his expectation and at the same time, the unemployment situation improves according to his plan. With that, there could be a chance to END the asset purchase programme as early as by end of 2014. This was the original key note from June FOMC meeting.

Thursday's FOMC meeting concluded a division in the members of supporting and opposing the taper but Uncle Ben's personal stand is still to support the accommodating policy as in near term.

There's no hint or word of immediate withdrawal of the asset purchase. He just said to slow down the horse.
