I didn't recommend for selling.

What I meant is to perform buying new fund for portfolio rebalancing or topping up existing funds on your portfolio.

Selling is mainly my personal goal.

Lu sifu, aku cuma sai-fool notworthy.gif

Some would say mine over-diversified, my portfolio would go up/down with the world markets in general. The good thing is, I can practically leave it on auto-pilot smile.gif

Hmm... may be but the term 'rest of the world' is too general. Well, just my curiosity rather than guessing ask for the answer would be better.

hmm ... how come ar ??
Profit drop you sale? U suppose to top-up 'buy low sale high' isn't?
Profit drop to - 16% you sale u sure loss, but if you can stay put average down you lose nthg.
*
OK. Just describing a situation. Not in my case.

You profit 16%. You don't sell. It drop to bottom and never recover to the initial level for the next 3 years. Would you rather still average down or you realize your profit and buy back? So will you still say you have nothing to lose? If you put paper gain this way, then yes.

Not necessary have to choose my equity. There is so much other choice.......

Smaller cap companies are usually the first ones to fall during a downturn.... so its higher risk.
*
What fund would you recommend? I'm holding PGSF too. Global fund currently over weighted in Asia market (quote Pink)

Oh yeah... i have some frontier equity fund. Very low on brazil and russia, so underweight for me.

Us is 60% of world equity so as long as you have global equity you have exposure.

Wah fund recommendation depend on your risk tolerance, no 1 size fits all. Global fund is majority developed market.

Guys, how would u rank these markets in order of volatility and risk?

Australia
Korea
Taiwan

To me,
AUS - resource-heavy, closely linked to commodities consumption - China
Korea - war threat
Taiwan - technology-focused

But Korean equities are more diversified, right? We have Samsung, LG, Hyundai, etc, well-diversified corporations.

But Australians ones...mainly commodities and property names I see on fact sheets of funds unsure.gif

Isn't it UT investment is meant for long term ? you would never know when is peak and when is bottom. Heart must be steady not just because of recent slump panic sale already or realize profit. Do you foresee any potential of the fund? If no just realize profit no need to buy back better look into other potential fund.
