IMHO, free antiviruses are sufficient to protect you, without needing to shell out money just for the "better" protection offer by paid counterparts.

In fact, if you're knowledgeable when it comes to avoiding suspicious downloads/ sites, you will hardly or never encounter any PC infections.

There's Comodo Internet Security, Microsoft Essentials, IOBit Malware Fighter if you're looking for security suites which are freeware.

The better one currently is Norton 360. I was at Kaspersky camp for many years until they became what Norton was back in 2006.... slow ware.

Look no further.

For paid it would largely depends on your requirements plenty of premium security software suits out there however currently to my experience the very best with every coverage a home or small corporate user would imagine would be Norton 360 which also includes Norton own cloud storage subscription bundled.

BIS is the best AV according to this site.
I've trialed BIS before but I prefer KIS more. (Reason: Most cracked software will be detected as virus, and that is really annoying). However, KIS is a lil bit slow to start up
