ZoidbergFry what you mean imei doesn't check out? when you press *#06# ? You can actually scroll to Settings>About Phone to read the imei.

Apart from that, you can send your IMEI to check on the registration.

Most basically, there won't be difference between an ori set and an AP set, only diff would be the warranty sticker and sometimes the charger head.

For fakes, you can differentiate it easily through your bare eyes.

Just ROM or rom is enough or u can go all the way with custom rom.

TW ROM = keep all functions like stock, or gimmicks whichever you like
AOSP ROM = pure Android goodness, but IMO, boring. but i'm old so boring is good. my longest surviving ROM, Sentinel AOSP fantabulous ROM
