Look like I'm in bad chip.  doh.gif
However with latest kernel, this issue should be solved by Samsung is it?

I also have the insane chip. Like ant00 mentioned some custom roms & kernels can fix SDS. rclxms.gif

[New App] Giganticon Makes Homescreen Icons Up To 25 Times Larger, For Some Reason
Posted by Jeremiah Rice in Applications, News
http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/05/29/ne...or-some-reason/

Giganticon has one purpose, and one purpose only: it makes the app icons on your homescreen enormous. Technically it's a widget - place a Giganticon widget on your homescreen in the standard way, and it will open up a menu letting you select any app. Tap that sucker, and a mega-sized version appears in the defined space.

Giganticon will pull down relatively high-resolution app icons from the Play Store (which of course won't work if you've side-loaded or installed via Amazon). The effect looks surprisingly good, even on a Nexus 10 - Giganticon widgets download app icons at up to twenty-five times the basic resolution. The only widget size is 2x2, so those with Gingerbread or Froyo may need a 3rd-party launcher to get the desired effect.

=================
Interesting effect.

Erm. Actually i said its ASSUMED to prevent SDS. The only cure AFAIK is to change the mainboard to a newer version. Anyhow there is no guarantee.

Go to google play and download program called eMMC brickbug check or you can try link below

eMMC brickbug check program

run the program and see if your chipset

Type: VTU00M
FwRev: 0xf1 (Bad chip)

or

Type: VTU00M
FwRev: 0xf7 (Good Chip)

It will also tell you if the chip are prone to SDS bug

For BKT session, any good joint in Subang?

It will be sort of midway between Klang and KL/PJ. Unless anyone suggests a good place in PJ. Klang is a bit far tongue.gif

There is a fairly famous BKT shop in the row of shops next to the KJ LRT station.

I'm paranoid. Some more mine is an AP set. However according to the warranty card by the shop, motherboard is still under warranty for the first 3 months which will expire in 8 days time. sweat.gif

Errr....why only 3 months for the motherboard????? I thought AP sets tend to have 2 year warranties? Where did you get your unit from?

My bad. Yes its 2 years warranty for transceiver. 3 months warranty for LCD/touchscreen, accessories and battery. Is transceiver = mainboard? My AP set from Brandstar.

Transceiver specifically is a component on the board .... hahahaha Brandstar, ie DirectD ? I've seen some good, some bad remarks about their service. So far seen more positive remarks about SatuGadget.

well there aren't any particularly good bkt place in subang, so i might as well let you guys decide the place. but i can tell you that i prefer the good ol' bowl of soup and meat instead of the claypot type lolol. anyways my wanam is killing me, 14 hours+ on battery with 3 hours sot and now it's down to 48%, wonder if the 40-minutes long voice call session today ate up my battery.

MOAR Note 3 Rumors....man this is really getting hot, almost daily Note 3 rumors, as compared to Note 2

http://www.phonearena.com/news/Two-new-App...as-July_id43473

.......And with that segue to Android, the same report says that Korean OEM Samsung could be looking at a July-August launch for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Considering that Samsung's J.K. Shin has stated that the phablet would not be introduced until September's IFA show in Berlin, we would tell you to start shaking that salt. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is rumored to have a 13MP rear-facing snapper with OIS support. There is also speculation that Samsung has reduced its target of shipping 70-80 million smartphones in the current quarter although it might hit the higher figure by the end of the next quarter.

that is too fast if announce on July

exactly, please let me use my note 2 for at least half a year, because i know i definitely won't be able to resist the temptation of the note 3 once it's out, provided if it will actually reach our shores so soon.
