QUOTE(suntzulee @ May 27 2013, 09:33 AM) Hi TS, I found that each time you open a new thread, it was pretty dull and lengthy with repetitious post around. If someone need to refer something which was posted earlier on they can refer on your previousr thread. Maybe you may consider to a) Update only new findings b) a post with previous thread versions. Therefore each time when you start a new thread, we are not bored by your repeated, repeated, and repeated agenda. Just update the latest if you have any will do..... Just my 2 cents and observation after you are doing, doing & doing something non constructive...pls take this as positive to improve further.... No doubt your effort is commendable but if your doing something repetitiously, are you bragging yourself each time a new thread is born? as someone who is rather new to android and make an effort to study..i find it rather helpful that the TS compile each reference even though lengthy as it is for me to refer to..it would be even more tedious for me to search past versions as per your suggestion..then again..utmost failure is trying to please everyone..

For those that are interested, dual boot is just around the corner. Probably will be available latest tomorrow. Though its nothing much to me. I dun get the point of having 2 roms in the same device but that's just me.

muctabata, gin&tonic you guys have mistaken me. What I meant to assist TS to do a more tidy and comprehensive job is like this.
First, let say in V10, on the first page every update is there...now, what I mean in V11, TS no need to repeat what has already there in V10 page 1...like my suggestion, a post with a link of V10 will suffice to show whatever infos found in page 1.
Moving on, in V12 TS will only need to post latest update in his first post, eventually anyone who needs to refer earlier infos will just need to click on let say a 2nd post with previous link to V11 or V10 page 1 because everything is already there....
I'm not referring those subsequent posts after TS normal first few posting....hmm, sound complicated but I hope you guys catch what i'm helping this forum to stay at the top notch.

QUOTE(((Xa))0102 @ May 27 2013, 01:27 AM) ReventonI have to agree a jailbroken iPhone 5 is still one of the best phones out there... I still love my jailbroken iPhones are because it has things like Activator, SBSettings and tonnes of themes to play with. Not to mention 11 hour SOT for a full charge. Lots of optimized apps in the wild as well. However, there are still alternatives for your apps. But i'm very sure that Papago is on Android for a very long time since i've been using it since my HTC Desire HD days 11 hours SOT on iphone ? I never got that before stock or jailbroken. I only know if I use my iphone then prepare to charge 3 times at least per day. I know android have papago , I already bought for iOS version so buying it again for android kinda waste money to me.

Bro, thank you for the suggestion but it IS COMPLICATED. This is a forum with linear postings, not a fully indexed and searchable database. I deal with shit like that all the time in my work. If we can get a quantum index that can instantaneously parse your query to the exact previous post, hallelujah man. Well there already is a changelog with links to prior changelogs, and also a previous threads post. I'm sure we would all find it extremely hard to tell a noob "please see v14 #365 for this response."

Nah having it all in the latest thread is better. Linking previous info to older thread will just confuse the ever confused new user even more. They will say "its not on the first page so just feed me" Plus older thread are obsolete fast no point refering to them. Any important conversation had already been captured by joytest and are linked. Also he have changelog if old users just want to see whats updated. You dun need to read the whole first page. And its not so tedious for him cos its just copy and paste when he move to new thread

Would be easier for newbie like me to find whatever issue that has been discussed earlier.

I wantedto add that unlike xda that does not limit a thread by posts, this is a necessary evil to "grow" page 1. And like what antt00 said some stuff discussed earlier is now no longer applicable.

It's quite a hassle for newbies to reroute here and there. Wouldnt it be easier if everything is on the first page? I do appreaciate joytest 's efforts to ensure all information are intact whenever he opens a new thread. Good job bro

Problem?

Ill chime in here so u guys can get back to actual device discussion. No, do not reroute to the old thread for info. Otherwise u will be digging up from v14 to v 13 and then v13 will say go to v13 and when u go to v12 suddenly see thread missing cuz forum has been cleaned up.
All relevant info must be on the latest thread.
A workarouns if u want to see only changes isto have a spoiler on top of "changes to first post since previous version"
In additiin to the full complete info.
Sorry for typos typing on phone.

QUOTE(joytest @ May 27 2013, 10:42 AM) Thanks for clarifying. Just curious what happens during forum cleanup? Threads get deleted? Or moved to some Happy Posting Ground? They get teleported to another dimension automatically (gone for good). It doesnt happen that often this clean up, but it does happen periodically upon admin discretion. So linking back and back and back is a bad idea. Not to mention tedious. If some regulars really want it maybe put a spoiler with all the "changes since last thread". Heck if there was that maybe, just maybe ill start reading first post also haha Edit: that being said ty ts for maintaining the thread.
