I have use the 2 same cables for 2 months since Aug 2014
So far , cables are still in ok condition.

Maybe bcoz of the size of the bag,
sometimes things are squeezing together
may have cause of the crack ( ACT OF GOD )

Just Like my wife old Nokia 82 ,
no idea how the screen got crack...(T_T) after few month of use.

JUST PERSONAL OPTION:
Seller & Buyer both side some time have to give & take.
Buyer - Get a new one if u have faith in the cable. ( if not just get other, free mkt )
Seller - give a special offer for a supporting customer. ( To Gain good reputation )
