QUOTE(dennisee @ May 3 2006, 10:16 PM) hi, im new here. just got myself a new pc(before this using mac). im having problem to playback avi files. most of the time i will be using windows media player(latest ver), and it will show messagge like -error downloading codec- and if i use realplayer, it will also show similar message. so i would like to know how & where can i find the codec? thanks! I suggest you to get the codec pack like K-lite Codec Pack.Check on first post .Standard pack should enough for normal use. But, you can opt for full so next time you don't have any problem to play the video file.

QUOTE(mypetridish @ Jun 18 2006, 01:18 AM) my Media Player Classic complains that it doesnt have the codec to output the 3ivx audio. I downloaded the codec but it is a shareware and it has already expired. Is there a way to play the file without using the shareware? I have ffdshow installed but it doesnt help. How about using another codec pack such as K-Lite Codec Pack ? Try uninstall ffdshow & install the other codec pack (which have 3ivx).I'm happy with K-Lite.Hmmm...I have few AVI with 3ivx but I didn't notice any expired warning.Weird ... Another post I found said audio problem with 3ivx & says expired. It turn out AC3filter is not installed. This post has been edited by keyz: Jun 18 2006, 01:56 AM

Try installing Quicktime Alternative (check in the post #1) QUOTE(radmaszeal @ Sep 11 2006, 07:45 PM) i downloaded a movie through torrent, .iso file. how do i view it? downloaded ultraiso, dunno what to do with it. if try convert to other formats it will say file found. any1 else having problems? thanks in advance... ISO is an image file. You can do few tricks : - Burn into DVD/CD with these software.
- "Mount" that image using image loader such as Daemon Tools & open it like you open from CD/DVD.
- Extract the content using UltraISO, PowerISO.

I think this maybe caused by AC3 filter setting. Try to increase the "Master" to maximum (under "Gains") by accessing AC3 panel.
