I used to use Avast, not bad, better than AVG. Never tried Avira. Now looking around ... not sure whether free is a good idea or not since I cannot to lose all my kids' photos on the PC.

i think on this forum, its which software is more popular as opposed to which is really working well and protecting you. Hey, some of us buy security products cos the skin can change one! Hahahaha!

Personally, I buy security software to protect me and my family and minimise performance hit on my machine.
