i just switch it to Avira AntiVir Personal from kaspersky recently... my system is pretty standard, 2G ram... Kaspersky is very heavy... whenever i run it, my system lag like crazy... of course i still use it till the license expired... now i am using free version Avira... surprisingly it is very light and you know what, i can detect some virus that i previously can't... not sure about norton, stop using it many years ago...

QUOTE(curaptz @ Dec 10 2009, 03:09 PM) If u enter a guarded house, the guard will check u thoroughly. this take a longer time compared to u enter a house without a guard or lazy guard... same goes to antivirus(act as guard).Very light means nothing, simply just scan through... get wat i mean? not really, based on the review, Avira AntiVir has a better detection rate and lighter engine compare to Kaspersky...(http://www.av-comparatives.org/comparativesreviews) This is how I get to know Avira... probably it's due to the engine algorithm... if whatever you claimed is valid, then why Avira detection rate is higher than Kaspersky? or probably Kaspersky has a group of lazy guards... lol...
