my friends said that it is not relevant to use antivirus..is it true?

Antivirus can only protect your computer from certain types of virus but NOT all.....
But still its better to have some sort of protection rather than NONE at all.... nod.gif nod.gif
It will help to a certain level only..... smile.gif

Sounds about right. I'm running a hack Mac right now without antivirus. I'll letting it go AV-free for 2 weeks, then try and scan it with Avast free edition (for Mac), and see how many viruses I've racked up. Should be fun.

Hi all,
Im using Bitdefender AV+ 2013 for > 2weeks.
I was wondering did any1 encounter slow bootup?
I mean the windows loading time is lil' longer than my usual time.

I use Trendmirco Titinium Internet Sercurity 2012 before this and it was fast compared to BitD.
Getting to login screen adds at least 15~20s compared to Trendmirco.
eg. Power on till login for TrendM is 15s..NOW its >30s for BitD.

I have dissable useless programs start-up. I not in a hurry but you know sometimes its gets me annoyed with the slow boot-up...

That probably means that Bitdefender is a bit heavy for your computer,
you can revert back to Trendmicro if you're concern about slow boot up though.
