QUOTE(cacha1986 @ Oct 8 2013, 12:22 PM) my mate who worked in Australia as an accountant, never in an audit firm applied for assistant manager and is offered about 4.5k though i am not sure if that is inclusive of CPF or not. You can perhaps ask for 3.5 - 4k ? Unless you think that's too low you can back it up higher and let them come back to you with a counter offer edit: My mate is current working in commercial firm and not audit firm. For audit in Big 4, if you are looking at a lower senior role its roughly around 4.5k This post has been edited by witchx: Oct 8 2013, 01:21 PM

QUOTE(iloveteddybear @ Oct 18 2013, 02:42 PM) I only have a few months of working experience (7 months to be precise). Quite despo So is the avg salary 2k or am I being underpaid? Do they give lower salaries to Malaysian? what did you put as your expected salary when you applied / were asked? Or was there no mention about salary at all until their offer? if what you have written down as expected salary matches with what they are offering, i don't see it as an issue as you were ready to take the deal if you put your expected salary around 1800 - 2200 for example.. However if you have already asked for a higher expected salary like 2800 - 3500, then you can perhaps try to negotiate for higher salary.
