anybody had any exp interview with Goldman Sach? I want to know how long their interview process would take. I have 1 interview next Friday. On the other hand, I have RBS ready to wrap up a remuneration for me, so I am wondering if I could manage to get Goldman Sach offer before I make any decision.

QUOTE(seantang @ Sep 21 2013, 06:23 PM) They are complementary, aren't they? The less time you spend commuting, the more time you have left over to spend with your friends and family, no? I think she is implying a situation where you work and stay here in singapore and leave your family in Malaysia. But the context of the statement is you stay here, and so is you family This post has been edited by totti 10: Sep 21 2013, 07:12 PM

An investment bank came to me with an offer of 55.5k basic annum for an analyst position. Was quite surprised by the offer, considering i have zero exp in banking. The offer is way higher than what i demanded too (43k annum). No wonder all the singaporeans are chasing the jobs in the cbd.

Not goldman. Although i went to interview with goldman and didnt get their analyst position. But from what they were telling me, their analyst work minimum 12hrs a day and averaging at 14-16hrs/day, i dont think i am missing that much

The firm that i am joining has 9-7pm average according to the hiring manager, and he says that is pretty much the average in the industry. I think for goldman sachs they have a longer working hours compared to the other firms, and research on the internet also confirmed this. But they do pay alot more.
This will be the first time i am joining a european company, i think their working culture is good, from what i learned during the interview. The manager even asked me to hang out this weekend for some drinks n sheesha to casually meet my future team and casually discuss about my future challenge jumping from engineering to banking.
Btw i have been in sg for 2years, just not really active here recently

I think if you can make a decision to stay in gelang patah and commute to eunos on a daily basis, automatically the company will think that you are incapable of making a good decision.
