Now I have the same noob question sweat.gif , I got the IPA letter and all relevant documents (med report and etc) in order, however, I had been informed by my future admin/ HR colleague that they need my white card a.k.a. IMM27 number to further proceed their online application (EP Online) for my spass.

Would like to know if I could enter Singapore with white card X and give them the X No., leave SG immediately; or I would need to stay in SG with the white card X until they finish processing my application?

Preferably the former as I need to work in weekdays, possible? Thank you. rclxub.gif rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

you submit your white card and mention that you will be going back malaysia while they process. at the immigration when you want to go out just bring your application documents then they will scan when you go out and scan again when you go in. I even photostat the white card just in case any problem.
*
Thanks mate.

You mean I could fill up white card 123, take down the details/ photostat it (forward to my future employer, let them to proceed with EP Online),
use white card 123 to enter into SG, let SG immigration officer tear down part of it,
then U-TURN, let SG immigration officer check on my application document and tell him that my pass application is in process, the officer will then scan the bar code on my IPA letter without collecting the smaller part of my white card 123 and I will leave SG with smaller part of white card 123.
When my future employer contact me for the ESPC appointment date later, I will then go into SG by showing officer the IPA letter(let them scan), and surrender the smaller portion of white card 123 at ESPC officer when submit photograph/ verify finger print and documents.

Is this what you mean?

u just go get ur spass then only go back to malaysia
u need to handover that white card when u collect ur spass i think
*
Yup thanks, that's one of the common things that I understood. sweat.gif
Problem is my IPA is only valid until beginning of August, and I can only start to working in SG after August, so I simply can't apply few days leave to wait for the pass issuance as I'm still working here in MY.

No worries, just when your appointment, give them the white card which you coming in (the X No. not necessary same as the time you apply). They will chop on your appointment letter, and then staple ur white card with it. Show to the custom and they will scan but return you the white card. The next day just come in as usual, with the appointment letter (chop) and the white card (remaining), until you collect ur pass, MOM will collect ur white card and issue you the pass.

Hi Vincent, you mean giving my white card to who ? during my appointment with who? fingerprint verification appointment with ESPC?

the problem is, according to them, they need a white card details from me in order to book me an appointment with ESPC. So after entering into SG, after giving the white card no. to my future employer, do I stay in SG until some documents is given to me or can I leave SG with just my IPA letter? doh.gif sweat.gif sweat.gif

cause from what I read from MOM website, my future employer would need to print out a notification letter after they have done all the steps required, this is before booking the fingerprint verification appointment.

my question is can I leave SG before they print out the notification letter, or do I stay until they print out the notification letter and email to me, so that I can leave SG with the notification letter.

I don't quite understand why you need to come to singapore then U-turn out again. I thought you are already in Singapore? Or are you travelling JB-Singapore daily?

I'm just saying that in order to get out of singapore once you have submitted the application, just bring your documents along when you exit singapore and the officers will understand and do what they need to do and you go out and come back with the same white card. Just my experience.  thumbup.gif

I U turn cause I need to work in JB on the following day and I don't wish to take leave (in JB firm), but I would need to work in JB until end of August before I can start working in SG in September. However, we need to proceed with my pass application as my IPA expires by early August, next month.

So I'm wondering any method for I to collect my pass within next few weeks without / or minimize leaves that I need to take in JB company.

So I thought you were saying I can enter SG with white card at night and notify my employer that white card no., and leave SG in the same night. Then on the next working day, my employer can use the white card No. to book me the appointment time with EPSC. blink.gif blink.gif

Huh can't understand. IPA is valid for 6 months isn't it? Your SG employer offer you a job apply pass for you and still willing to wait more than half a year for you to resign your Malaysia job? hmm.gif
*
You are right, I read that 6 months period thingy, but my employer had in fact applied this pass in X June 2013 and on the first page of the IPA, it clearly stated "this IPA is valid until X August 2013", but we both are aware that I can only start to work in September, so the plan is now to finish up the pass thing by August and start working in September 2013.

and if possible, I don't want to spend two working days in SG to wait for the pass issuance, so I'm curious that can I enter SG with white card X and pass the white card X details to my SG employer, come out from SG without making the white card X invalid. Anyone has had that experience? rclxub.gif sweat.gif

You should double check with you SG employer ma... if i m not mistaken, IPA consider it as temporary pass, and your white card will stapled on the IPA, just show the CIQ should be ok.
*
I guess they are also not entirely clear on this as this is also their first time. Anyway, shall try going in with white card and exit with by using IPA later, see if ICA accept that.

Thank you very much. Vincent, this is clear and very much appreciated. Knowing that I can produce different white cards (1B and 5B) really ease me much. Thank you very much smile.gif

You mean ICA will collect the 5B and issue you a letter on the spot? At the custom?

BTW, since bikers crowned you as king here, how much is the initial cost and average cost per year for Malaysian to own a let's say 150CC bike in SG?

Procedures? erm, I guess your employer must now request for pass issuance after settled your FW insurance?
Check with your employer to confirm the time frame and compare to your notice period?

Unless the 'kidnapper' has very little 'situational awareness', I find this story very hard to believe. There are so many cctvs around, there's no way they won't be able to identify the 'kidnapper'. And SG is unlike MY... I think there is zero chance that the kidnapper will be able to get out of Vivocity scott free, towing a screaming kid and a hysterical mother at his heels.

If you ask me... the road less travelled is typically the simplest explanation. I think if the writer's uncle were to ask his wife, who the real father of the child is... a lot of questions would be answered.

A bit surprise that uncle didn't pursue that guy after he came out from toilet.

hi.  I have an appointment with mom tmr for vard registration. can I present a photocopy of my original spm cert instead of an original one?
*
Bring both.
You would probably need to bring the original SPM cert for them to verify the photocopy one.

thanks for reply bro..

let say when the work permit everything is approved, and when i want to resign my current company need 2 months of notice period, will it affect the work permit or IPA (need to be extended etc) in a way?
*
Share you my experience, interviewed, shortlisted, new employer applied Spass, IPA issued (valid for 2 months), resigned (2 months notice), verified Spass issuance at MOM, pass has been ssued to my new employer (yup, the physical pass already with them 2 weeks before I finish my 2 months notice in old com).

I think what your need to concern is only IPA, you need to do verification at MOM before it expire.

You know the rule of averaging; mathematical algorithms can be crafty to suit the context. I think he meant 9 to 7pm on average including weekends. That's 70 hours per week - on average.

The sheesha session is probably to download the industry glamour and what it takes to be like him. Meaning making him your role model. In the industry, it is stamina that drives the continuity. The novelty of your basic pay and bonus worns out pretty fast - 3 months I reckon.

It is the tiered rewards of pps solitaire, spg Starwood, Hilton and etc that keeps the momentum going. And the soul searching starts when you have your first break up while at the job. Vicious cycle, but always respect the guys who succeed in the system. It takes balls and endless consistency to prevail but only great minds will succeed.

Good luck in your new job. I bet it is more demanding then your friendly interviews.

many thanks for veteran's sharing sweat.gif
look forward to hear from "totti 10" three months later.
