Hi All,
Need some verification regarding my starhub account
1 year ago I signed for their post paid plan (no contract)....I was holding S pass back then which requires me to deposit $200 for opening an account with them
However, now that I have been upgraded to E-Pass and actually E pass does not require any deposit....
I called them trying to ask ways on getting back the deposit, the lady told me that unless I terminate my account, there is no way I can get my deposit back!
Has anyone been through the same process? Can verify? Cos sometimes call centre information is just NOT ACCURATE!

QUOTE(Mackiddo @ May 25 2013, 11:24 PM) what if you tell them you wanna sign a contract but with existing account ? So I made a trip down Starhub at Plaza Singapore and they told me they will be issuing me a cheque. But it will take 4 WEEKS! wow...fast on collecting money slow on returning them...the usual stuffs Anyway....I would say what the call center person told me is not right...The receptionist at Starhub told me right away I can get my deposit back...in fact a lot of people did that before MYTH BUSTED!

QUOTE(deodorant @ Jul 27 2013, 10:24 AM) Well, tayhaithian got 7k offer as fresh grad, so to some people it is apparently very easy. I believe toughnut seantang and Fiona Chin are other high earners pulling in above 10k (or close to that) so you could ask them for their experiences too. OK...i just came across this post....I think I just got mindblown! When you say fresh grad I am assuming below 25, top uni degree 7k ???!!!!!!! What kind of company/job will offer such a pay to a fresh grad? And pardon me for being so surprised....I thought 5k for fresh grad is very high already... I'm a toad in a small island afterall....

Guys,
I have a question regarding work permit expiry.
I have a friend who is holding a work permit. The expiry date will be 29th September.
Will she be able to use the work permit to go back to Malaysia on 30th? Note: No intention to continue working with the employer.
Her intention was to exit Singapore with the expired work permit since her boss is not around to surrender the pass for her.
Will this work? If not, what alternative is available if she wished to go back when work permit is already expired?
Need advice.
